Bridging the gap between the two Disneyland® Resort theme parks and its three hotels, Downtown Disney® District is the ideal spot to begin or end your day. Grab a bite at one of the table-service restaurants or food carts, such as Splitsville, Napolini, Marceline’s Confectionery, and Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen. Then, pick up a souvenir at one of the many stores, including The World of Disney®.
Things to Know Before You Go
- The Downtown Disney® District is the perfect spot to pick up a souvenir of your visit to Disneyland® Resort.
- Unvaccinated visitors aged 2 and up must wear a face covering at all times.
- It’s strongly recommended that you only visit the Downtown Disney® District after testing negative for COVID-19 or once you’re fully vaccinated.
- For guests aged 21 and up, every table-service restaurant in Downtown Disney® District has a bar where you can kick back with a cocktail.
- Ease your exploration of the Downtown Disney® District, make table reservations, and get up-to-date information by downloading the official Disneyland® App prior to visiting.
- Many restaurants and dining options in the Downtown Disney® District allow advance reservations via the app, while others operate separate waitlists.
- Parking in the Simba Lot is charged by the half hour, after the first hour flat fee. However, enjoy extra hours with a validated purchase from the Downtown Disney® District or proof of dining at a Downtown Disney® District table-service restaurant.
How to Get There
Getting to the Downtown Disney® District in Anaheim is easiest by private vehicle. The closest parking lot is the Simba Parking Lot just off Disneyland® Drive; however, you can also grab a spot in the Mickey and Friends or Pixar Pals lots, both of which connect to Downtown Disney® District via pedestrian bridge. For those arriving by rideshare, head to the designated pickup and drop-off locations on Downtown Drive or Harbor Boulevard.

When to Get There
The Downtown Disney® District is typically open from the mid-morning until the evening, staying open a little later than other attractions within the Disneyland® Resort. Visit on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday morning if you want to avoid the largest weekend and evening crowds. If you’re planning on dining in the Downtown Disney® District, make reservations in advance where possible and, again, try to avoid the lunch, dinner, and weekend rush.
Where to Eat in Downtown Disney® District
Dining options abound in Downtown Disney® District, with Disney®-themed dishes and snacks to suit all ages and tastes. If you’re a fan of sweet treats, don’t miss Sprinkles, CrazyShake™ Window by Black Tap, Salt and Straw, or California Churro. For lunch, La Brea Bakery Café is a favorite, while you won’t want to miss Catal or Ballast Point Brewing Co. for dinner.
