From Tintin to Manga, the Smurfs to Astérix, the MOOF is a museum unlike any other in the world, displaying rare figures and statues of some of the most famous comic book characters in Europe and the US. With changing exhibits every few months, and a collection that spans many decades of dedicated collecting from its owner Eric Pierre, this museum celebrates cartoon and comic book art, the stories cartoonists tell, and the characters they create. The MOOF is closed on Christmas and New Year’s Day.
The museum is open every day in July and August, but the rest of the year, it is closed Tuesday–Thursday the rest of the year.

The MOOF is simple to find, as it’s right in the city's center. It’s within easy walking distance of Brussels Central Station, or you can catch the 92 or 95 tram. If you’re driving, 24-hour parking is available seven days a week at the nearby parking lot Rue Marché-aux-Herbes.
The museum is open all year, however, to avoid the busiest times, it makes sense to visit outside of the school holiday periods and during the winter when the Brussels Christmas markets can make the city center a hectic place. That being said, seeing the MOOF earlier in the morning can be quieter even during those times, and booking your tickets in advance means you can jump the queues.
Since The MOOF is an independent museum founded by an avid collector of comic book memorabilia, there is a very decent gift shop here dedicated to the characters found within the exhibition space. The museum is suitable for all ages, but the store inside is filled with goodies that adult collectors can enjoy—from Marvel heroes to rare memorabilia from beloved childhood comics like Astérix and Tintin.
