The basics

Teatro Pérez Galdós is one of Gran Canaria’s most important performing arts institutions. Its elegant, porticoed facade gazes out at Plaza de Stagno, while a four-tiered main hall seats 1,085 for everything from hip-hop shows to classical performances and an annual jazz festival. The theater's second-floor Saint-Saëns Hall is notable for its stained-glass windows, their elegant designs filtering Canarian sunshine. Some hop-on, hop-off tours of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria feature the theater as a stop.
