The basics

The museum is a creation of the Jewish human rights organization, Simon Wiesenthal Center, and its exhibits both document the past and serve as a call to action. The center offers educator professional development, an archive of primary source documents, and a reference library.

With your Museum of Tolerance ticket, you can access the main museum exhibits, including the Tolerancenter, and see a historic letter penned by Adolf Hitler. Though entry to the Anne Frank exhibition requires a separate fee, this popular exhibit is worth the price. Learn more during your visit by attending a Holocaust survivor talk—which runs for about an hour—and stop by Finding Our Families, Finding Ourselves to learn about the family histories of celebrities and thinkers.

The museum's sprawling 20-acre (8-hectare) campus features open-air installations and public spaces, and frequently hosts events. Though the museum is currently undergoing renovation, you can still enjoy the galleries in its Resnick Pavilion and Broad Contemporary Art Museum.
