The Basics

Closed to passengers in 1954, it would take two decades for the Kent and East Sussex Railway to begin operating once more. There are now three standard services in operation alone the Kent and East Sussex Railway—red, gold, and green—all of which include onboard catering and wheelchair access.

Passengers can join the route at any one of the five stations along the line, although most choose to ride from Bodiam to Tenterden or vice versa, taking advantage of a TravelCard ticket to hop on and off along the way. There are also regular festive and family-friendly events, including Santa Special trains.
