Public transportation is the easiest way to get around Zurich and several tram lines stop at the Bahnhofquai/HB stop right in front of the museum. Paid parking is available nearby at the Parkhaus Hauptbahnhof, but can be costly.

How to get there

The National Museum Zurich is open year-round from 10am to 5pm Tuesday through Sunday with extended evening hours on Thursdays until 7pm. The museum is closed Mondays and major holidays. Although the National Museum is one of the most popular in Zurich, it’s spacious and rarely crowded.
