Great Anchorage tour

I had a great tour with Pam! The Kobuk tea is delicious. The Wyland painting is awesome. Food was great! Even a quick Outfitter stop to replace my broken boot!! Cherry Ameretto gelato was yum!

This was an amazing tour. Such a great introduction to Anchorage—its iconic food, history, personal anecdotes and insider information. Dan was amusing and knowledgeable and a thoughtful guide. We had a great time on our walking tour of Anchorage. Our guide Pam was amazing. She said she had only been in town 4 months, but she knew her stuff! She told the stories of the town and the places we visited with great detail. I would definately recommend this tour to anyone that comes to town, it was a great way to see some of the local eateries.

Dan was very nice and funny and the food choices were great! However, I feel like I learned more about Dan than Anchorage or Alaskan cuisine. It was also a bit expensive for the value.

I would like to have heard more information on the food and the history was a bit sketchy. The guide wasn’t a very good host - focus was mainly on himself rather than the food and history.

I was looking for an interesting tour of Anchorage and found Dan's Food and History walking tour. I've done food tours in other cities and this one ranks right up there at the top. Dan is an engaging guide who obviously loves what he does. His stories keep you listening and provide a different side of Anchorage. The food was more than I expected - with a real variety of things.
