Bee, unser Guide ist ein hervorragender Archäologe, und hat jede Besichtigung zu einem Erlebnis gemacht. Unser Schiff Symphonie, bestens und geschmackvoll ausgestattet, die Crew war äußerst hilfsbereit, das Essen exzellent. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können es wärmstens empfehlen.

Achtung Touristenfalle! Keine 5 Sterne!! Preisleistung stimmt überhaupt nicht. Überall muss man noch mehr bezahlen und man hat bei den Tempeln viel weniger Zeit als zuvor angegeben in der Beschreibung. Beispiel: am zweiten Tag reisten wir nach Abusimbel 3.15Uhr standen wir auf und um 4.00uhr war dann Abfahrt. Fahrt dauerte 4 Stunden hin plus 4 Stunden zurück. Insgesamt also 8 Stunden Car Fahrt. Bei der Tempelanlage hatten wir dann 35 Minuten Zeit um uns umzuschauen! Wir haben auch mit Details zu den Templeanlagen gerechnet und wurden leider auch dabei sehr enttäuscht. Insgesamt haben wir viel zu viel Geld ausgegeben für das was wir schlussendlich erhalten haben. Schade!

This company acts as a middleman between tour guides and cruise ships and sells overpriced bookings for really mediocre experiences - but first let's address the fraud. They sold me a 4day/3night cruise including a hot air balloon from Aswan to Luxor from the 21st to the 24th of March. I then made my travel plans accordingly and booked flights, hotels etc. for the rest of the trip. A week before the trip, the tour operator messaged me to say that the cruise starting 21st (Tuesday) has been cancelled and wanted me to re-book to the 22nd (which is a Wednesday). This led to me spending more than £300 on hotel bookings, changing flights and trains etc. but I was frustrated and there was no other option to salvage our trip. When we reached there, we found that the cruises NEVER leave Aswan on Tuesdays. Basically, they sell tickets for tours operating on Tuesdays, which is a very rare offering on Viator because the other tour operators are selling honestly, and then message EVERYONE asking them to change plans or cancel. We met several other people who were defrauded in the same way by this company. As for the experience itself, it was mediocre - there was no one to pick us up at the station, the cruise was just acceptably average (though the staff were kind, the food was repetitive but at least edible), the guide Mohamed was eager but had terrible English, we didn't stick to the itinerary promised, and the hot air balloon experience was cancelled. The guide also tried to sell us an overpriced trip to the Nubian village and was clearly in cahoots with the Alabaster factory scamsters as well

You have booked your trip on 9th of March for 21st and on 10th of March (just 12 hours after you made the booking), we sent you a message offering alternative dates as the 21st trip been rescheduled due to lack of bookings (Not for any other reason) We could tell you easily to cancel your booking and book with some other company but we have offered you options and alternative dates .. on the other hand if you found it much expensive to re-book with us, you could easily cancel the booking and not to amend your booking to go with us on 22nd of March option - For the Hot Air Balloon, The tour has been cancelled due to Bad Weather and for the Tourists Safety (You have been already refunded for the cancelled hot air balloon) Best Regards

Great experience! The cruise was decent, nothing fancy, but the staff on board was bringing the extra points. We were quite surprised about the food which was very tasty and varied. Finally, our guide Bee made this experience unforgettable. He is a super smart man capable to transmit his passion about old Egypt to all of us. By far, the best guide I've met so far. Only negative point was the cancellation of the hot ballon activity du to bad wind conditions.

Nile cruise was not more than expected. Pack days full site seeing and venturing. Eight magnifícame temple visits. The food on the cruise was excellent and there was plenty of it. Bi, our guide was a fantastic tour guide and super informative. The trip was well organized. There were some very early mornings but we’ll worth it. Thanks!

Great trip, bad food

The guide Bishoy was great and could manage the group very well. We felt comfortable and enjoyed the visits, we were in good hands. However, the boat was way below our expectations. Viator was not transparent about the boat options, the pictures were different, they considered it five stars deluxe boat but it is very outdated with terrible food. The breakfast boxes are non-edible, so we paid for breakfast that we could not eat. The transport used to travel 6h to Abu Simbel was tiny and uncomfortable, we saw other better options on the way. It's a shame that we paid a high price for what we get while the staff is clearly underpaid and we need to tip a lot. The base price of these cruises is way lower than what we pay to Viator and the agencies they contract.

We had a great time in our Cruise. Our guide Mohamed did a great job explaining every temple, very informative. He also took care of everything for us: transportation (van, tuktuk/horse ride, boat), tickets to the temples, etc. The cruise itself, Symphony, was good but needed some improvements, because it looks a little dated. The food was very good and the staff very nice. The room was comfortable and clean. As a negative side, I would say that the schedule is very full in some days and we wish we had more time in some temples but I appreciate this can be done in a private tour. Also some temples were super crowded! The hot air balloon was really amazing. Definitely recommend this tour!

I definitely would recommend this tour, Mohamed our guide was very informative in his tour explaining everything in the temples, also organizing everything for us and taking care abou anything to be perfect. The experience of a cruise in the Nike is unique! The food and the stuff was perfect. Definitely worth every penny.

Nightmare in the Nile

I took my time to review this cruise experience because I don’t want others to go thru the same negative experience I had. I booked 3 Nts 4 days Aswan to Luxor including Abu Simbel and Hot Air Balloon. Before I booked I read lots of reviews and understood that some of the ships where outdated. In decided to book this cruise with Viator and tour operator Mody Tour. After a long trip from USA to Egypt we got to Aswan with excitement about going in a Nile Cruise. When we got to the cruise port we enter thru a nicer ship, then crossed to the next one and then the next one til we got to ours named “Kira” and let me tell you how big of a disappointment. Not only because it was the worst of all. But because of the filthy condition it was and when I say filthy it was the worst of the worst. The carpets where super dirty and ripped with holes, the cabin floors had hair, dust and lint. Bathrooms had hair and where super deteriorated it looked like a hunted ship. I immediately made the complaint to our tour guide that this for sure wasn’t what I booked and that we (2 couples) wanted to be transferred to a better ship. He explained to me that he couldn’t do anything about it. I was very frustrated because I booked my cruise with over 3 months and dreamed about this experience to celebrate my wife 50th birthday. We start noticing that lots of other passengers where feeling the same way and where trying to find solutions without an answer. I contacted Viator and didn’t received an answer from them but it seems that they message the tour operator and at the same time tour operator (Mody Tours) contacted the tour guide with specific introductions to either check out and leave or stay and be quiet. Never a solution to be accommodated in a different ship. Our schedule for this trip was very tight and we couldn’t afford to not start the tour the day we arrived. At the end we had to accept to go in this nasty ship with a tour provider (Mody Tours) that simply don’t care. During the night the CO2 from the ship will concentrate in our cabins this becoming a huge health hazard. The water from the showers will be clogged and water will fill the floors of the bathroom and part of the bedrooms. It seems that this is a common issue in most of the cabins. We realized it was true when water from the cabin on top will start leaking thru the ceiling and in to our rooms. Food was very substandard. I think I only had one decent meal the whole trip. My wife bday celebration was ruined and there was not a solution to it. Keep in mind that I didn’t expect a new ship 5 start like they said it is. But what it was is not even a 1 star motel in the middle of the road in route 66 in a ghost town. The guide was decent and did the effort to have a good itinerary. His English was very broken and it was hard to understand for most of us in our group of 17. At the end. After talking to other tourist from other ships during the tours. We confirmed we where scammed by this tour operator (Mody Tours) in the Kiara ship. I must say the Hot Air Balloon experience was amazing.

The most memorable experience was connecting with the people in our group. We were fortunate to have a small group the entire time. It made the whole experience better. The cruise is a marathon but it felt like a great introduction to Egyptian History.

The guide, Mohamed G. Is very knowledgeable and he enjoys what he is doing. The trip is wonderful, as you sit and relax and let him managing the itinerary, timings and any problems that can arise. He really took the time to explain the most important and interesting aspects of every temple and also made sure we have time for pictures and stay in the temples to admire. The crew from the cruise are focused on your enjoyment and making sure you have everything you need. The food was good and quite a few varieties. As Egypt is focused on tips I also enjoyed that our tour guide take care of this for us.

Had a very wonderful experience with the tour. The itinerary was well planned and we were able to visit all the temples and places on the itinerary on a timely manner. Mahmoud, our tour guide was great! Arranged all the transport and transfers without any problems. He thoroughly explained the history of each places. Has been very patient and gave us enough time to have a look around. Would not have visited all the temples in any other way. Would definitely recommend

We throughly enjoyed our cruise with Mody Tours and our fabulous guide Mohamed Gobran. The accommodations were clean, private, and comfortable. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and happy with our stay. The food was prepared with care and cleanliness and there was a large selection that changed daily. Our trips to the temples were fantastic, as our guide was very knowledgeable and took the time to teach us along the way. He really made our stay a positive and memorable one. Not only did he educate us and coordinate our excursions, but he prioritized our safety. He also helped us figure out an issue with our airline and assisted us with obtaining a taxi to the airport the day after we disembarked. Thank you to Mohamed and the entire crew for being part of our Egyptian adventure.

1- cruise was like a 2 star hotels. No wifi on board at all 2- Food was delicious but drinks are way more expensive than 5 stars hotels 3- collecting tips 25$ each mandatory before we start our trip was very shocking . I am not against tipping but I want to have the option. If it is mandatory, you should have mentioned in the reservation. 4-the guide needs to work more on his English, narrating skills and on organising trip skills. The schedule wasn’t organised as expected. 5- the guide was pushy to write us the review before finishing the trip which I find it a little bit odd. 6- Mohamed is a nice guy and I hope this feedback would give him a chance to work more and improve his skills. 7- Mohamed tried to please everyone but he needs to be more organised and he should be clear of each step.
