Erstaunliche Seiten, aber Führer könnten sich verbessern

Das Schiff selbst war eine angenehme Überraschung nach dem, was ich gelesen hatte. Wir fanden das Essen ziemlich gut mit viel frischem Obst und Gemüse zu jeder Mahlzeit. Das Zimmer war sauber und groß für ein Schiff. Das Sitzen mit meinem Buch auf dem Oberdeck beim Segeln entlang des Nils wird eine meiner schönsten Erinnerungen bleiben. Und die antiken Stätten sind ziemlich erstaunlich! Leider fanden wir die Guides nicht sehr gut. Ihre Reden schienen mit einer solchen Intonation auswendig gelernt und rezitiert zu werden, dass wir wirklich genau zuhören mussten, um sie zu verstehen. Wir waren uns nicht sicher, ob es ein Mangel an Englischkenntnissen oder ägyptischen Kenntnissen war, der unsere Fragen unbeantwortet ließ. Einer kam so spät an (er konnte unser Schiff nicht finden ...), dass es unsere Tour erheblich einschränkte. Der letzte Führer, Amr, den wir zwei Tage in Luxor hatten, schien uns überhaupt nicht herumführen zu wollen. Obwohl der Karnak-Tempel auf dem Programm stand und wir betont hatten, wie gespannt wir darauf waren, ihn zu sehen, entschied er, dass es keine Zeit gab, und verzögerte unsere Rückkehr aus dem Tal der Könige und brachte uns super früh zum Flughafen, um unser Haus zu besuchen Der Flug ließ uns frustriert und saß über 2,5 Stunden auf einem rauchgefüllten Flughafen! Es wäre viel Zeit für einen kurzen Besuch des Karnak-Tempels auf dem Weg gewesen, der nur wenige Kilometer entfernt war ...

Entspannung 4 Tage in Unterägypten

TL, DR: Für 410 US-Dollar ist das Paket eine vernünftige Möglichkeit, das untere Ägypten zu sehen. Es gibt viele Ausfallzeiten und die ideale Bevölkerungszahl scheint 40+ zu sein. NB: Auf dieser Tour gibt es viele Ausfallzeiten. Der Großteil des Tages ist unstrukturiert. Die Ausflüge / Touren dauern 2-3 Stunden / Tag. Im Boot gibt es nicht viel zu tun. Wenn Sie nach einer langsamen Möglichkeit suchen, das untere Ägypten zu erkunden, ist diese Kreuzfahrt genau das Richtige für Sie. Guide: Unser Guide Amr war fantastisch. Er zeigte uns schnell und effizient jeden Ort. Er warnte uns vor möglichen Touristenbetrügereien auf dem Weg. Er gab an jedem Ort genügend Zeit für Bilder. Amr hat uns sogar geholfen, unser Zimmer auf dem Schiff so zu ändern, dass es höher im Boot liegt. Er war jederzeit verfügbar, wenn wir Fragen hatten. Er hat die Tour nach unseren Wünschen angepasst. Schiff: Ausreichend sauber mit Personal immer da, wenn etwas benötigt wurde. Das Boot war sehr kalt und es gibt keine Hitze. Packen Sie unbedingt Kleidung für kaltes Wetter ein. Wir waren hier im Februar mit Temperaturen um 60-70F und waren nachts immer noch kalt. Die Decken waren ausreichend warm. Essen: Das Essen auf dem Boot variierte jede Nacht. Es gab immer mehr als genug für jede Mahlzeit. Beachten Sie, dass Getränke (auch Wasser) nicht enthalten sind und extra kosten. Wein kostet etwa 5 USD / Glas, Kaffee 2 USD und Wasser 1 USD. Es wäre Aufgabe der Kreuzfahrt, zu jeder Mahlzeit mindestens ein Getränk beizufügen. Wir möchten auch dem Küchenpersonal unsere aufrichtige Anerkennung aussprechen. Wir haben schwere Allergien gegen Baumnüsse und Erdnüsse. Das Personal war bei jeder Mahlzeit äußerst vorsichtig und ging sogar so weit, spezielle Beilagen für uns zuzubereiten, die keine Nüsse enthielten. Insgesamt war dies wahrscheinlich der einfachste Weg, um Unterägypten zu sehen. Beachten Sie jedoch, dass die Bevölkerungszahl wahrscheinlich am besten für diejenigen geeignet ist, die ein langsames Tempo suchen.

Das Boot ""Mojito"" ist alt, aber sauber. Das Essen ist nicht beeindruckend. Die Warmwasserversorgung funktionierte gut. Alkoholische Getränke können im Boot gekauft werden, was gut ist. Reiseleiter Mahmoud Hassan aus dem kaiserlichen Ägypten war beeindruckend mit viel Wissen. Er unterstützte mich beim Zimmerwechsel im Boot, was sehr hilfreich war.

Der Höhepunkt unserer Reise nach Ägypten war der wirklich exzellente, professionelle und erstklassige Service, den wir von unserem Guide (und jetzt Freund) Mustafa erhalten haben. Mustafa ist ein wahrer Experte für altägyptische Geschichte und Kultur. Er war auch eine fantastische Person, um uns durch die hektischen Städte und Orte entlang des Nils zu navigieren. Ich kann mir unsere Reise ohne Mustafa nicht vorstellen. Er war alles - und mehr -, was wir uns von unserem Guide für diese einmalige Reise erhofft hatten. DANKE, Mustafa. Amazing Nile cruise! Hady is the best tour guide we have had in Egypt — very knowledgeable about Egyptian history, spoke very good English and made sure our group was always having fun! Ask for him, you will never be bored :) We were a group of 10 people, which was great as it was quite small (not like other large groups we came across) and we always had great personal treatment and attention. We were put in the A Sarah boat — the boat was a lot better than expected with big windows and very clean (see pics of the room & pool). Finally, the food served was excellent and had different choices at every meal. 10 out of 10 — I highly recommend it!

Review of 4-Day 3-Night Nile Cruise from Aswan to Luxor&Abu Simbel+Balloon Reviewed yesterday I half to be honest, I was reluctant to hop on a 4 day three night cruz from Aswan to Luxor with Imperial Egypt. I’m not much for fallowing the flow of tourist. Yet upon meeting Mido Mosa our Egyptian otologist and group leader as well as the family from Australia, Japan, a couple of World travelers from the Nederland's we were happily amused. My daughter age 9 from the US had the time of her life, even though the next youngest in our group was 23. Mido’s enthusiasm was infectious, his knowledge of the history of Egypt, World Class. We learned, explored, laughed, and experienced way more than I felt I paid for. This experience via our guide Mido Mosa and Imperial Egypt is one my daughter and I will soon not forget.

The guide that took us to the temples and tourist sites was terrible! He didn't explain the schedule and when asked he answered rudely, in the places he gave little information, he didn't seem to know much and was always in bad mood, he said a few things and went into the shade to smoke a cigarette. He took us to a place that wasn't in the viator's itinerary and he didn't even tell us that we were going there, when we got there we questioned him and he started yelling at us saying that that was how it worked and that one of the families that was with us wanted to see that place, but he didn't let us know, much less asked if we wanted to go there (probably the other family paid him a good tip). Whenever asked about something he said he had been a guide for 15 years and that's how it works, just because you've been doing something for so long doesn't mean you're good at it. The only thing he knew how to do was hurry us to leave, during the visit to the temple of kon ombo he kept rushing us, so we arrived at the banks of the river to return to the cruise and we had to wait another hour outside to be able to boarding, he could have left us inside the temple until boarding time. The driver who took us to the Abu Simbel temple was simply irresponsible, we had several drivers in Egypt and they usually drive dangerously, but this one was on another level, he was driving more on the wrong side than on the right side of the road, driving at high speeds, more than 150 km/h unnecessarily and putting people at risk. The day we arrived in Luxor with the cruise we gave up on our guide and didn't want to go with him anymore, we decided to hire another guide to go to the places and it was the best decision we made, it was a totally different experience. We already paid to go to Egypt and for the trip, it's worth paying a little more to have a good explanation of the history of the places and not be in a hurry to leave. Cruise was reasonable, accommodation and food as expected for the price paid, we loved the experience of sailing the Nile with the cruise

To begin, I was apprehensive about the quality of the ship that I’ll be on and how it would compare to the ones from the US. However, I was pleasantly surprised that the boat was clean, well-organized, and well-maintained. The ship itself is old but everything was functional. The room was spacious, clean, and the bathroom was free from any issues. The itenerary for the trip was also well organized and I was able to visit numerous sites including Abu-Simbel as well as other sites in Luxor and Aswan. The visits were well-organized and spaced out to allow for some resting time. In terms of our guide, Mr. Mostafa Mollatam, I can’t say enough good things about him. He truly went above and beyond to make our visit and unforgettable one. He coordinated all tickets, visits, bus rides, etc. Additionally, he was very very knowledgeable in the subject matter (ancient Egyptian history). In fact, I joked with him and told him that he spoke about them as if he was there! Mr. Mollatam was professional, approachable, kind, very knowledgeable, and had a great sense of humor. I highly highly recommend him if you plan to do the same cruise. Overall, I had a great experience in this trip. I visited several historic sites and I do recommend this cruise liner and emphasize Mr. Mostafa as the tour guide.

I liked this trip. Our tour guide (hussain) was very knowledgeable and provided all of us with a lot of information before and during each visit (as well as water) which made the trip more worthwhile. And something happened with our flights, but our guide accommodated us still which I appreciated. 4 stars because the actual cruise itself didn’t have very good wifi, only worked in reception (barely) and had to pay for it (150 EP a day) and I personally was not a fan of the food served on the cruise. However the catering staff and tour guide were very nice which made the trip enjoyable.

Great way to explore ancient Egypt

We had a great time during the trip. The itinerary was great, we definetly got to see and explore several historical sights and take amazing photos. Everyday was planned in a way that you can see enough attractions without feeling rushed or exhausted, but also not feeling like you left anything behind. The boat accomodations were fair given the price. I wouldn't expect luxury accomodations, but definetly clean and well organized with good food. The only downside was regarding the "tipping", which in the end felt more like mandatory payments and charged aggressively, which left us a little bit uncomfortable sometimes. Our guide Mohamed was very friendly and knowledgeable and tour operator Hani was very accessible through whatsapp

Really good tour with an average boat

While the guide was super knowledgeable, helpful and more than accommodating and we loved the optional boat tour to the Nubian village - which I would highly recommend, the boat was just average. The room was alright, but looks very old and not maintained too well, much like the rest of the boat. It’s not a 5 star luxury boat for sure. It’s just alright. On our way to Abu Simbel we were given a breakfast bag and this was 3 buns of bread with 1 slice of cheese and 1 slice of meat 😔 The food quality and selection varied - much like the boat it was just alright. The tour + the guide (Haidy) deserve 5-stars while the boat is not more than 3!

Great tour with a jam-packed itinerary in Upper Egypt

The itinerary is great and the tour company is very caring and professional. My only concern (through no fault of theirs) is that the itinerary feels too jam-packed; its just a bit too much to take in in just four days, and if at all possible, I recommend that you book a longer Nile cruise (e.g. 7D/6N) with the same company. Its noteworthy that there are many other tour companies that uses the exact same itinerary with the cruise ships, which means that the destinations you stop at are absolutely jam-packed. Again, this is definitely not the fault of the tour company, as they have done their best to give you an unforgettable experience in Upper Egypt with the available time. It is just another reason why I recommend longer cruises/itineraries than this one. My party of three were part of a larger group of around 10 persons in total. This was not an issue at all as the guide they provided us is extremely experienced and talented. In fact, our guide was by far the best guide I had anywhere in Egypt. One final note: please be extremely careful with what you buy if they take you to the stone craft workshop on the West Bank of Luxor. The guide will likely tell you that the items are overpriced by 30 or 40%, but in reality they are overpriced by more like 70%. They are genuine goods, but many - probably the vast majority - of the items on display are not actually made at that workshop (which specializes in sandstone tablets) but in other workshops around Luxor.

I will start from something positive - our boat was better than expected (I must say, expectations were low) and the group traveling with us were all super friendly & fun. The temples were simply beautiful. I mean it’s for sure worth doing a cruise! On our first day we were picked up from our hotel, just driver, no guide yet, he was late. Well might happen, we didn’t think a lot of it. Then we left for our first Temple. For the next few hours we learned more about the tipping, than the Temple. Mustafa was not so into the egyptology, the questions asked were barely answer. When we arrived to the cruise, we were informed that we have to tip the driver 50egp per person (also children). Then I asked if it’s a tip or a payment, because I’m big enough to decide by myself who I tip, what service I tip, how much I tip and so on. Mustafa got very annoyed and started to discuss, that 50egp is nothing for us and they know it. Well that „nothing „ I still have to earn and with that attitude of his, entire group didn’t tip at all. Only the driver for Abu Simbel and the cruise crew. After this incident, Mustafa wasn’t attentive at all. People from our group started writing complaints to Hady (the manager), then the situation was a bit better. But our guide Mustafa was always late (we were always the last group to leave). Also the waiter we got, was thinking of us like atm machines, we were feeling very uncomfortable. I mean I understand they live mostly from tips, but it could be done in nice and polite way. I guarantee people would tip with pleasure and even more than asked. As you can probably understand from my review, be ready for money hungry people to „attack „ you. If you don’t set boundaries on you arrival, you will be bothered for the rest of your days.

Amazing journey through Egypt’s history

This was an amazing experience; the communication with the Tour operator was always prompt and professional, and our private tour guide, Mahmoud Sadi was the greatest companion we could have asked for. Nothing was too much trouble for him, and we saw extra places and history with him. Having a private guide meant we didn’t have to wait in queues for tickets, we could visit sites for long as we chose, rather than waiting for other people, or bring hurried up. Mahmoud was absolutely priceless, and I would have him as my guide any time! Thank you for making this trip unforgettable
