Der Fahrer war schnell und freundlich. Sonst war alles SCHRECKLICH: im Rahmen der Buchung wurde ein Pick-Up Hotel ausgewählt und eine Sprache für den Guide. Auf Rat meines Hotels musste ich selbst nachhaken, ob ich tatsächlich am Hotel abgeholt werde. Die angegebene Telefonnummer war ständig ausgeschaltet. Erst nachdem Viator kontaktiert worden ist, hat sich der Reiseveranstalter bei mir gemeldet. Und erst dann kam die Info, dass weder Guide noch Abholpunkt der Buchungsbestätigung entsprechen. Am Tag der Reise hat der Reiseveranstalter keine Info an den Fahrer gegeben über die Personen, die mitgenommen werden mussten. Über 45 Min lang wurde mit einer Gruppe diskutiert, ob tatsächlich sie mit diesem Fahrer fahren oder nicht. Schreckliche Organisation.

Drive from Aswan to Abu Simbel and back. Friendly and comfortable driver and the car. Very helpful and guided us safe through out the drive. Amazing view throughout and Scenic temples on the river nile. Worth taking the drive!!

The trip itself was quite okay. Clean mini van for approximately 9 persons. The van was 40 minutes behind scheduled arrival time. At out next stop there seemed to be some discussion between the drivers and some other passengers whether they were on the list or not, I assume. I heard they mentioned 'nice travel' but that the drivers didn't know the company. In the end, they were allowed on rhe bus and we moved on. No word was said on the bus by the drivers. This is clearly not a guided trip, but just transfer. If I had known, I would have booked for a company which at least would have explained something about abu simbel in this 3h or driving. If I had known, I would have booked a private guide.

If you stay at the West bank, be careful as the pickup there is not included (although it seems like it does from the dropdown menu of hotels) and it's difficult to cross so early in the morning. However we managed to find a solution thanks to Elaria who worked well into the night and answered the phone even at 3.30. The visit itself is great although we would love to have more time. A lot of time was spent in lines.

Easy way to tour Abu Simbel

The people who contacted me for this excursion were different from the person who are reachable on the day of excursion so it’s a little confusing when you need to contact them at wee hours in the morning. However they stayed & waited for us as we arrived so late at the pickup point. Im thankful for this. This isnt a private drive though (not stated in the package). Driver Adel is friendly & make sure everyone is in place & follows the time for pickup & drop off at Elephantine Jetty area. Enough 2 hours to tour Abu Simbel. It was 5am-2pm includes 1 rest stop & the many police checkpoints (you dont have to get off the van) Comfortable & safe ride. Recommended for a no nonsense trip to Abu Simbel.

The tour operator canceled my tour at 4am morning which on the same departure day. This is so irresponsible and totally ruin my journey to Abu Simbel. Who want to go Aswan without visiting Abu Simbel?? DO NOT recommend to engage your tour with this operator!!!

What a terrible trip

It was terrible trip because I spent so much time to move to get to the meeting point. We were 8 people in a car except the driver. I hopped on the last. Every people paid difference price. It was ridiculous. I think I paid the most expensive price. Further more, on my way back to the hotel, the driver dropped me at the bridge. So, I had to walk extra 20 min. Overall, it was a bad memory to me.

The Fact that they made a mistake and went to the wrong hotel and made right by still picking me up I thank them for a lot! I feel like some places might of said the hell with that and just kept pushing, it gets hot in that little Van so make sure you ask them nicely to turn up the Air Conditioning and take snacks, they only make one pit stop so make it count and it’s only 5 mins so make it quick also. Other than that it’s a nice hour and a half tour at the site.

Abu Simbel is definitely a must visit if you come to Egypt and especially to Aswan. The service does exactly what it says: transport door to door without a guide. Communication was excellent and pick up was on time. We got two hours at the site and toilet break both ways. You can get a guide once you get there, but considering that the guides are not really allowed inside the temples with you (most guides will give you a briefing on the bus for this reason), I would definitely go with this service. Just do your own research!

Parfaite organisation. Elarya de la compagnie nous a contacté pour être sûr que nous avons bien été pris en charge par le chauffeur de bus. Nous étions dans un mini bus confortable avec peu de touristes. Nous avons eu assez de temps pour visiter le temple sans visiter au pas de course.

Très bon voyage, organisation très bien ficelée. En partant à 4h, certes le réveil est dur, mais nous sommes arrivés avant la plupart des touristes, ce qui a permis de prendre de bien plus belles photos que ceux qui sont arrivés après nous ! Elarya a été très présent sur WhatsApp pour prendre contact avec nous et s'assurer que tout se déroulait bien, de A à Z. Il a su répondre à nos questions avec réactivité, ce qui n'est pas le cas partout ici... Le matin même, le chauffeur nous a montré les passeports que nous lui avions envoyé pour être sûrs de ne pas le confondre avec les autres taxis qui nous courent après, devant notre hôtel (même à 4h du matin...). L'ambiance était agréable dans le minibus. Vous en avez pour votre argent et on ne vous harcèle pas avec les bakchichs comme c'est pourtant le cas partout en Égypte en général. Il n'y a pas de guide et c'est relativement inutile si vous avez un livre comme Le Routard avec vous, qui fait très bien le travail ! Abou Simbel est un temple magnifique, si vous avez du temps à Assouan, impossible de ne pas le faire ! C'est probablement la plus belle chose que vous verrez dans le coin. Si vous choisissez un départ à 4h, vous êtes de retour en début d'après-midi, donc vous pouvez encore visiter d'autres endroits dans la journée, ou vous reposer avant le soir !

Reservé el tour la tarde de antes y se pusieron rapidamente en contacto conmigo desde la agencia. La atención vía WhatsApp fue constante, incluso se pusieron en contacto con mi barco para conocer el punto de amarre y concretar donde tenían que recogernos. A las 4, hora de recogida, también estábamos en contacto para saber exactamente cual era nuestro conductor. Nos recogieron un poco más tarde de las 4:00 y tuvimos que esperar después a otros viajeros, pero eso no depende de la agencia. El trayecto lo realizamos en furgoneta de 12 plazas (en nuestro caso íbamos solo 8, por lo que había hueco de sobra). Llegamos a Abu Simbel a las 9:00, fijamos el punto y hora de recogida, y directos a sacar la entrada (pequeña cola de unos 15 min) y a entrar al recinto. Teníamos 2 horas, la duración que suelen dar prácticamente todas las excursiones. Es suficiente para verlo, el complejo se anda rápido y los templos están pegados. Este tour es solo el Transfer, vas sin guía, aunque por experiencia de otros amigos que hicieron otros tipos de excursiones, el guía tampoco es imprescindible. Este tour nos costó 29'50€, más 11€ la entrada al templo, más propina al conductor (no hay porque darla pero no está de más, cuando el viaje en sí sale tan barato en comparación con otras opciones), en total unos 45€, que comparado con los 105€ que piden las excursiones de los barcos, nos mereció la pena ahorrarnos esos 60€ de diferencia, además de que pudimos ir un poco por libre y sin depender de ningún grupo. En nuestro caso veníamos de hacer un crucero de luxor a aswan. El guía nos ofreció la excursión por 105€, además, nos desaconsejó hacerla por nuestra cuenta, por tema de seguridad, etc. En ningún momento vimos ningún riesgo. Al parecer hace tiempo sí que lo había, pero hoy en día protegen mucho el turismo, y ésta es una de sus atracciones principales. En cuanto a la visita en sí, para mí es obligatoria parada. Parece ser una paliza por darte 4h de ida, 2h en el sitio y 4h de vuelta (desde las 4:00 hasta las 15:00 que llegamos), pero merece la pena ver uno de los templos más emblemáticos de Egipto. Para ir para allá se nos pasó rápido porque íbamos casi durmiendo; la vuelta se hace un poco más pesada por el cansancio, pero al final llegas y ya descansarás por la tarde-noche, porque un viaje a Egipto hay que aprovecharlo al máximo. Yo tenía muchas dudas en contratarlo así, otros tours o con la excursión del barco, y creo que ésta es la opción más acertada y económica con diferencia.
