Ihre Tour startet am Columbia Icefield Glacier Discovery Center. Die Touren starten alle 15 bis 30 Minuten und Ihr Ticket gilt für jede Abfahrt an dem von Ihnen ausgewählten Tag.
Steigen Sie in einen spezialisierten Eisforscher ein, ein riesiges, robustes Fahrzeug, das für die Bewältigung des Gletschergeländes gebaut wurde. Während Sie durch das größte Eisfeld der kanadischen Rockies reisen, sollten Sie sich den informativen Kommentar Ihres Reiseführers anhören. Fahren Sie an Sehenswürdigkeiten wie der Trauermauer, dem Krähenfußgletscher, dem Peyto-See und dem Bow-See vorbei, die als eine der landschaftlich schönsten Touren Kanadas gelten.
Steigen Sie am Athabasca-Gletscher aus und gehen Sie am Gletscher entlang, wo Sie sogar Ihre Wasserflasche mit reiner, makelloser Schneeschmelze auffüllen können.
Halten Sie auf der Rückfahrt am Glacier Skywalk an, um sich zu erfrischen, und gehen Sie auf dem Glasbodenweg über den Rand der Klippe. Kehren Sie dann zum Eisforscher zurück, um die letzte Fahrt zum Discovery Center und die Rückkehr zu Ihrem Fahrzeug fortzusetzen.

This experience is well worth taking. We particularly liked going on the Ice Explorer vehicle and actually standing on a glacier, especially when the weather was kind with perfect blue sky's. From there you are taken by bus to the Skywalk, that is truly an amazing piece of engineering and the views are incredible. Both drivers were really informative about the whole area. Just be mindful at weekends it gets really busy and regardless of having the ticket on your Viator app you have to queue to get this printed out - so worth giving yourself some extra time for this.

Great to hear some facts about glaciers as well as experience one. Only negative. no toilet at the Skywalk where we went directly after the glacier for over an hour and my wife needs to go regularly.

It's OK. But not worth the expense. Is our opinion.

I think we simply had an unlucky experience with this as the snobus speaker system was broken so we had to travel on it without any commentary from the guide, which spoiled the experience. We also set off late, so by time we got on the glacier, we was given 20 minutes to enjoy the moment, take pictures and be back on the snobus. All in all, I was quite underwhelmed by the experience and wouldn't do it again, very expensive given its not that different if at all that simply going on a ski slope.

Both the wild experience in the Glacier Mobile Bus, especially up/down the incredibly steep road, and the time on the glacier itself were great! Our driver was really informative and safely conscious, both in and outside of the vehicle. This was an awesome educational experience and a highlight of our trip to Canada. We recommend it for ages 5 and up, given that children follow adult directions and stay with their parents, through older adults who don’t have balance or walking issues. A great experience!

Seeing the freshly fallen snow on the mountains combined with the yellows and greens of the trees was incredible. . The driver/ guides were friendly and knowledgeable. The tour combined the glacier with the skywalk. Their charge was for both even tho 3 of the four of us have fear of heights and had no desire to do it. I think we should have had a choice and not have been charged for going where we had no desire to go.
