Nettes Auto. Als Abholung wurde 8:00 Uhr und dann 10:00 Uhr angegeben. Der Fahrer wusste nicht, wo sich das Schiff befand. Mit einem Taxi vom Schiff aus hätte man mehr „Belfast-Geschichte“ erlebt. Verbrachte Stunden damit, Tore und Mauern zu betrachten. Ohne historische Bedeutung. Riesige Verschwendung von $$$$$$!

Hi Glendine I’m sorry you feel you had a bad experience, I have spoken to the driver; he visited the places listed below, which are offered on our City tour Stormont Buildings, SC Lewis Square, Queens University, Belfast City Hall, Politic tour (this is where the gates/walls are) the driver explained the history behind these. Lunch at Titanic Titanic Museum The driver offered to take them to Belfast Castle but the client declined Due to mobility issues as you couldn’t get out of the car to walk, you wouldn’t have enjoyed the full experience on the day (the driver did go out of his way to help you look for a pharmacy as requested) Kind Regards Adam

Wir haben unseren Tag mit John als Reiseführer wirklich genossen, als wir Nordirland erkundeten. John war ein großartiger Fahrer und teilte uns viele historische und kulturelle Informationen mit. Er hatte tolle Empfehlungen, was wir mit unserem Tag anfangen sollten, wo wir essen sollten und wie wir die Sehenswürdigkeiten, die wir besuchten, am besten erkunden könnten. Dies war einer unserer Lieblingstage unserer zweiwöchigen Europareise.

Dies war eine großartige Möglichkeit, die wichtigsten Punkte des Interesses zu sehen und einen tiefen Einblick in die politischen Kämpfe des Gebiets zu erhalten, einschließlich eines sehr ausgewogenen Ansatzes, um beide Seiten des Themas aufzuzeigen. Diese Tour ermöglichte es uns auch, eine Reihe von Sehenswürdigkeiten zu sehen, zu denen Tourbusse nicht in der Lage sind, abseits der Touristenpfade zu fahren. Alan war ein sehr professioneller Fahrer, der auch eine Fülle von guten Kenntnissen und Informationen über die Stadt bot. Mick (Micheal Hedley) was the best tour guide we have ever experienced. He was pleasant, charming, knowledgeable and did everything he could to make our experience the best. I only wish we had another day with him. I recommend requesting him if you ever do this tour.

The entire north in 8 hours - a must do for all ages!

Viator contracted with Cruise Ship Tours Belfast and honestly, I can't say enough about what an amazing experience this was. Our driver Frank is a history professor who gave us an amazing tour from our ship. In 8 hours we saw Dark Hedges from Game of Thrones, caught a glimpse of King's Landing from the film set, went to Ballinoty Harbor, Ballygally Castle - where we had tea and biscuits, Dunluce Castle, Giants Causeway, Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge and visited the Peace Wall. No way any ship excursion can offer all this. All along the way, we had a personal guide in Frank telling us the history of each place. His stories made us laugh and cry (in a good way). I have never seen my children more engaged and my parents enjoyed it too. Frank even had a bag of Tato chips for us, bottled water and homemade soda bread! I mean come on, talk about service. At the end of our journey, he also left us with some color copied print outs of a couple of the different areas we visited with the history he spoke to us about earlier on the tour. The best thing is having a private guide, he asked what was important for us to see. I didn't care too much about touring Bushmills, we drove by, but skipped it and spent more time at Giants Causeway and the Carrik-A-Rede rope bridge. We also enjoyed the GOT stuff since we watched the show. We were picked up and dropped off right infront of the port, and for the price we paid for 6 of us - there was just nothing on the ship as far as excursions that would've compared. Everyone must do this tour while in Belfast!

Frank was so knowledgeable (as a history teacher as well) and really opened our minds up to the not only the areas, but the culture and history of the political and religious strife that as Americans, have a hard time truly understanding (not living through it as he has). We had a plan but the weather being kind of crummy, we were able to change plans and do many different things that allowed us to really benefit from our one day, action packed stay there. We gained so much in not only seeing exciting locations but also just got a very memorable experience that we will never forget and took home with us a greater understanding and knowledge of Northern Ireland. I recommend this tour and Frank as a tour guide you will NOT be disappointed by, no matter how bad the weather may be.

Frank gave us an experience of a lifetime and an education that far exceeded what we ever expected. Given especially the complicated history of Belfast, as Americans with Irish roots, he helped us understand the misunderstandings and the continued strife in the region that continues today and is masked by propaganda and the fake news that only highlights what they want you to see. We got to see Game of Throne sites, ancient castles, drink local beer and even taste the local seaweed. Our trip was improvised due to the cold and wet weather but was full of information, beautiful scenery, history and was worth every penny spent coming from a local who has lived through the turmoil in this region his whole life. I would come back again and find Frank for yet another in depth tour as he was that good and there is so much to absorb in one day. Did I mention he teaches history too so he really knows his stuff. Awesome day!
