Great private tour of Belize, highly recommend

We had a wonderful excursion with Jeff. He was so knowledgeable and we learned so much about Belize. He gave us lots of information along the way and answered any questions we had about the country. I am unable to remember his name, but the monkey guy was great too. We got up close and personal with the monkeys, it was such a cool experience and one we will never forget. Jeff was a great tour guide at Al Tun and we enjoyed the Rum factory too. It was so nice to have a private tour with just my husband and daughter. I am not a fan of the huge bus tours where I feel like you are waiting for others the whole time. Jeff was on our pace and we loved that. Truly a great day, you won't be disappointed.

Worth seeing the Ruins, loved the monkey's.

Was surprised that it was just my husband and I on the tour, was expecting a bus. This was nice and in a comfortable air conditioned SUV, Percy was our guide. He was knowledgeable and could answer all your questions and was great at the Mayan Ruin. The ruins were interesting and he did give us background info on them. However it was a long drive to the ruins and he did not give a running dialogue tour, if you asked him a questio, he had the answer. We were new to Belize and expected an informational tour. If we did not ask a question, there was silence in the vehicle.
The Monkey Sanctuary was a guide from the sanctuary, he was awesome! It was a short trip into the jungle, he pointed out all animals his eagle eyes spotted and unique plants. Giving their background and uses. He did find a family of 4 monkeys and close enough to easily see. Thoroughly enjoyed this. Skip the Rum factory, a small store front with dusty beginning rum manufacturing. A glass wall you can see bottling rum. Really a way to sell you Rum.

Thank you for your review. However, I would like to point out 2 things. Firstly, we do not expect our guides to talk for the entire 4-5 hours of your tour. Percy and all our guides are required to give you an educational experience from the time you are picked up until you get to the ruins. After leaving the ruins, your guide may not speak as much as he should give you time to interact and recover with your group for the next tour; 30 minutes away.
Second thing is that the rum factory is not just a place "to sell you rum" it has plenty history that you can read about after Percy has explained it. Furthermore, your group tasted plenty but did not even buy anything so it's hard to figure out what exactly was your problem.
All in all, this tour is done with the utmost professionalism and everyone who is taken always comes back happy and content.

We had a private tour for our family of 4 with Fred. Perfect as a cruise excursion with limited time. We started out at Altun Ha first and then ended at the monkey sanctuary. We decided to skip the rum factory since we are not big rum drinkers.
Highly recommend both sites! Fred was a terrific guide - enthusiastic, welcoming with vast local knowledge. He really brought Altun Ha to life with his deep expertise in archeology and Mayan history.
Safe and responsible - Highly recommend Fred and Royal Belizean Tours. Great day in Belize.

We had an awesome time with Jeff!! We so appreciated his knowledge of Belize, Belize City, and the surrounding villages, and the extra stops we made along the way. Communicating with Royal Belizean was easy when we were unable to get off our cruise ship in time. We had a private tour with just the two of us. If you’re looking to see a lot and are up for an adventure, I would recommend.

Very unfair to write this review Elena. You were the one who called and asked us to accommodate your trip start time from the normal 8:15 a.m to 12:30 p.m. I informed you ahead of time that this would be possible but requires us to be more cognizant of the time so that you can get your three stops.
Honestly this review is untrue and literally does not make any sense. You spent 5 hours total to do the tour, which is the original length of time for this tour. You spent one hour and twenty minutes at each site.
Also, you didn't note that someone in your group is disabled and walks very slowly. This means that for your tour to be rushed he would have had to been carried or left in the vehicle to wait for you.
Very unfair and untrue review. Very shameful to see that people would try to sabotage our local small business after receiving the absolute best treatment that they could've gotten. This tour began at 12:30pm and they were dropped of at the hotel at 15 minutes to 6p.m; the sun had already set. Also, you failed to note that we did not cancel any stop nor short cut any part of this tour.
All in all we appreciate your business but if you are going to lie in your review kindly choose another company to take you next time. To our future guests, we apologize and would like you to know that we DO NOT rush any tour or excursion and if you request a later start time for any tour and we are unable to do it without rushing, we will not do it.

Jeff the guide was incredible. His knowledge of the areas and experience in the community provided a truly unique experience. The biggest knock against the excursion was the need to take the water taxi to Belize City (coming from San Pedro), but that was going to be a necessity for most excursions.

Also, once you're staying in any island you'll need to take the water taxi in to Belize, city and we'll pick up and drop you off from there.

Joel was an excellent tour guide. He took amazing pictures. Provided us with some amazing information about Belize. The rum tour gave us a taste of the island. The ruins were amazing and so impressive.
