    Nachdem Sie den Park betreten und an den Ständen vorbeigegangen sind, ist das erste Gebäude auf der rechten Seite das Kilauea Visitor Center. Halten Sie nach einem Mercedes-Van Ausschau, auf dem Big Island VIP steht. Es ist sehr wichtig, dass diese Tour pünktlich beginnt, sie dauert nur 3 1/2 Stunden. Dies ist ein Treffen im Park.

Amazing private tour!

Randy was our tour guide and was amazing. He was really knowledgable about the area and the park, was really fun and we just had such a great time! We will be talking about our tour and all the information Randy shared and knowledge he gave us for a very long time. The bus we rode in was super comfortable and the video he played at one time was really cool and informative. His pictures were also great and we were able to download them to our computer an no additional cost and he took tons! I highly recommend this tour, you won't be disappointed!

Splendiferous Volcanic Tour

Randy was very welcoming, personable and considerate of our needs and abilities. He shared tons of valuable information which made me enjoy the tour so much more than I ever anticipated. I am flabbergasted with how “clean” the lava rocks are and they leave no trace of dirty hands! Randy took lots of photos in addition to our own. Loved the lava’s reflective colors and love story behind it all! Great trip! Highly recommend this!!

Contacted early, was given the oppurtunity to move our tour to early morning to see the volcano eruption. Best experience ever, guide really takes care of you. You get what you pay for and this was worth it.

A must see...

The volcano had stopped erupting two days earlier. The weather was low clouds, with a wind driven light but steady rain. We considered cancelling. Are we glad we did not! Our guide Skyler showed us more about volcanoes than we knew there was to know. He was knowledgeable, friendly, patient... Of course we saw the big caldera, but also dozens of other interesting features. The video of the recent eruption that ran in the van as we traveled from place to place was most informative.

We had a wonderful time and an educational journey as we explored Volcanoes NP. This has been in our bucket list so a substandard experience would not have been acceptable. Our guide, Randy, was very knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. He took us to the best views and we had short hikes to better appreciate the power of Kilauea’s eruptions. I highly recommend this tour!

We got to walk on a sea of molten lava with an extremely knowledgeable tour guide. The kids were excited and involved. We loved the whole experience.

Knowledgable Guide

We really like the experience. They have benz sprinter which is big enough for a group of 10 at least and fit us 7 comfortably. The car is clean. The guide is really knowledgable about all the volcano and lava stuff as well as the geometry, so the kids got some education during the tour as well. The only thing we miss is that the volcano is not active during our visit, but we can always come back:)

Magnificent Kilauea

Our guide Skyler did a great job touring our group of 8, including a 6 and 10 year old. He was at the meet up place early and let us on his van right away which was nice since it showered off and on all tour. He had ponchos, umbrellas, binoculars, water and snacks which he offered to us. He also had a camera and took pictures of us and senes during the tour which his company posted on the web for us to download as we wanted; nice touch since we didn’t need to ask him to take family pictures. He also walked with us at all stops and shared his knowledge about what we were seeing and the history of the park and it’s sights. Not typical to have guides going step by step with you and definitely one of the advantages of doing a private small group tour. Van was comfortable and had a screen on the ceiling that Skylar used to show us a video of a previous eruption. All in all a great tour and a great guide with the only negatives being the weather with showers off and in and the latest eruption pausing 4 days before our tour. We were going on the tour regardless but it would have been special to have seen an actual eruption going on.

A Great Way to See Volcanoes National Park

We hade a great time on our private tour. We were lucky to go on our tour while Kilauea was erupting, and our guide had a great route planned out and got us positioned for great pictures of lava spewing out of the caldera. He was also extremely knowledgeable about the geology of the Hawaiian archipelago, as well as the flora and fauna within the park diverse ecosystems. If you have the means and interested in more than just sightseeing, I highly recommend this tour.
