Our pilot Chewy was wondering. His first priority is definitely safety but his knowledge about the park, volcano and waterfall history was exceptional. Safari team was friendly and professional. Enjoyed the excursion!!!!!

Chewy, the pilot, was exceptionally smooth in his flying and extremely knowledgeable about the area. He had no control about the volcanic activity, though I tried to blame him (just joking).

Absolutely fantastic trip. Sam was very friendly and knowledgeable. Made us feel at ease. This was my brother in law's first helicopter trip and we both agreed that this was the highlight of our trip to Hawaii. The views of the volcano and the rainbow were incredible. Highly recommended and one of the more reasonably priced flights.

Amazing trip. We saw waterfalls, the volcano, craters, lava spills. The pilot went out of his way to show us everything, passing on one side of the helicopter and then on the other. Excellent pilot, never did we feel unsecure or dizzy.

Seeing the volcanos from up above was much better than I thought it would be, since we had visited the park the day before. You got to see them from above it all, which showed you the whole picture, as well as volcanic features you didn't get to see because you didn't have access to them. We also got to see waterfalls you couldn't get to from Hilo. So glad we booked this excursion!

Your Safari Crew is so very sorry that it was necessary for a member of your party to step down due to weight. Weight and balance is for safety of flight and must be adhered to. It is so unfortunate that we are unable to fix this issue once you've arrived at our office. Accurate weights are important to flight planning as well as disclosing that you have a lap child.

The overall experience was great. I traveled solo, and 2 other couples joined the trip. The safety briefing was clear and the crew was so welcoming and warm. Both take off and landing were super smooth. The ride itself was enjoyable with music playing along, perfectly timed to each “stop” or view. The pilot explained much of the history of the volcanos, the Island, and shared other cool stories. No jerky movements that were unexpected. He gave us enough notice before the one time we had a little shaking in the air, but nothing to get sick over. The views were phenomenal!! Very impressive from above! I was under the impression that the ride was for 55 minutes; it may have been shorter by about 10 minutes. Even so, definitely worth every second.

It’s not worth the money spent, we flew blue Hawaiian helicopters before and they’re better but of course more expensive.
