The worst animal cruelty I have ever seen

While the guide and driver were awesome this tour is one that completely changed my view of Egypt and I will never go back after what I saw. Everything was great up until the atv ride. On the way to the desert we had to drive through the town. During this drive I saw the most inhumane cruel treatment of animals that was worse than anything I could even imagine. As we were driving I noticed a lot of garbage and manure piled along the walls that surround the border of the desert area near the pyramids. I immediately noticed a dead horse thrown on top of it. As we kept driving I noticed more and more dead horses. There were at least eight dead horses and one dead camel in this area just thrown away like garbage. This trash wall stretched for about a quarter of a mile and it was piled high so there could have been more under the garbage. One horse thrown into the pile was still alive and clearly suffering. The person that threw it there didn’t even have the smallest once of decency to put it out of its misery before throwing it away like garbage. It was clear these animals in the pile had died recently and it was one of the most heartbreaking things I have ever seen. I couldn’t stop because I had to keep following the guides atv, but as I continued following him with tears streaming down my face it got worse. At the end of all the garbage and dead animals there were a bunch of horses lined up forced to face the perimeter wall. There were probably 30 horses with no food or water in site and they all looked exhausted, it was clear they were suffering. This was a long stretch of the town and it was very populated with locals, but it was clear as tourist we shouldn’t have been in that area and they didn’t want us seeing that. When we finally stopped I was clearly upset and asked our atv guide about what we had driven by. He tried to make it better by telling me that it was ok because the government comes every night to get the bodies off the street. Obviously this just makes it much worse. The bodies I saw so carelessly thrown away were just from animals that had died that day from heat exhaustion, maltreatment, and neglect. This is right by the pyramids and these are the horses and camels that tourists ride. I feel absolutely sick knowing that I contributed to this. It’s disgusting that the government of Egypt allows this to happen and that locals do nothing to stop it. It’s so normal to them that the atv guide didn’t think twice about driving us by it. On the way back we also saw a man beating a horse and laughing while his friends watched. This poor animal was helpless and terrified. I am so thankful I witnessed what really goes on behind the tourist curtain in Egypt because I will never again visit this country and I will make sure to do better research before planning my next trips to other countries. My heart breaks for all the animals there still suffering.

Glad we got to see the sights of Cairo

We got some great pictures and are glad we got to see the pyramids and sphinx. Our tour guide was very short with us for some reason. We ended up cutting it short and just skipping the cruise. Also half our ATV ride was just us and the ATV guide trying to start the damn things. While I recommend seeing the pyramids and sphinx, I don’t recommend doing it with this company. I wasn’t impressed with the communication. Other tour guides I’ve used always message a few days before to confirm pickup time and location, I heard nothing from these guys and had to reach out myself.

thank you for your unhonest review .i replied to your message 25 time on viator and whatsapp , you arenot honest , i have all wahtsapp message we confirm the toru with you many times,for quad bike you need to stop for a while not only run with atv to cool the mechanic, for the cruise we already booked , you saied i have ealry flight so you dont recommended us it is your choice, all client knew about us and know we gave an excellence service,next time book other yes, we are not free for you

Absolutely amazing tour of Cairo! Our guide Mina made the experience fantastic for us. He was knowledgable and kind and patient - always trying to help us. The tour of Giza pyramids was also fantastic! Mina helped us navigate the queue quickly. The camel right was fun, just the right duration, we got some great pictures! The Nile dinner cruise was a highlight for us. Great food and gorgeous view of Cairo at night twinkling away. Would highly recommend recommend!

Excellent from start to finish. Collection and drop off to hotel, a great way to start the day. However be aware of buying things from the guides recommendations as commission is a big thing e.g. pay for lunch in the tour and haggle for cheaper prices in shops with scarfs

Great Day in Cairo

Having traveled alone many times, these tours are fantastic to take all the thinking out of the day and get you right where you need to be, the driver was a kind and wonderful man named Assem who helped keep me encouraged to try new things even though I had some jetlag. Ehab was the tour guide who shared his knowledge with me and was as friendly as anyone I've ever met, really enjoyed him suggesting the best photos. They were both adaptable in skipping things I didn't have an interest in which is very important to me.
