Hello travelers, we would like to clarify the situation of this comment in order to avoid misunderstandings. All our boats and crews have a sport fishing license which allows this type of activities in the Mexican Caribbean, it is important for us to obtain this license that our boats meet quality standards, otherwise it would be impossible to operate our tour, so we can ensure that our vessels comply with the necessary measures to perform the activity. The boat that we use to perform the activity is a Bertram boat, this type of boats was built specifically for fishing, as they have all the necessary equipment to carry out the tour.
Regarding the operation of the tour, I will describe how the tour was performed. We boarded the boat at 1:00 pm to sail to the Caribbean Sea, after a few minutes we started with the first part of the tour which is to perform trolling, this fishing technique is to start throwing the fishing rod without much effort while the boat is in slow speed, this with the aim that the bait mimics the swim of the fish, this is done in the first part of the tour to reach the area authorized by the government to do bottom fishing. While we were doing this activity the client started to feel sick and even vomited because of the dizziness, the waves in Puerto Morelos are not very strong because it is a fishing town that has exclusive zones for fishing. Our captain when arriving to the fishing zone asked to all the clients if he could stop the boat to start bottom fishing (because in the itinerary there was still time to do trolling) and avoid the movement and thus pass the dizziness of the client. At 1:50 pm the captain asked all the clients for their authorization to return to the dock because the client requested that she wanted to go back, which they all accepted as she was very seasick, the captain called the dock base to report that they would be returning to assist the client.
Our captain returned to the dock and disembarked between 2:15 pm and 2:25 pm. During the trip the crew was offering her water and help to make her feel better, however, the client refused the offered help. Once at the dock they got off the boat and the captain was able to continue the tour with the other clients, who were satisfied with the tour.
At the dock she was offered help by the paramedic and she refused his help, also the operations manager and ship manager were aware of her situation, offering to help her call her transport, again having a negative response from her and not wanting to talk to anyone.
It is important to mention that since this is an aquatic tour at sea, some people may feel dizzy due to the natural movement of the sea, so if you are a person who usually gets sick in this type of activities, the use of medications that help prevent such situations is recommended, such as dramamine, which helps prevent symptoms such as nausea, vomiting and dizziness.
This client left us this bad review because she wanted a refund for the activity, which we could not accept since it was not a problem with our tour, given that the other clients did the sport fishing according to the itinerary.
