Die ideale Tour,um an einem Tag die schönsten Orte der Cotswolds kennenzulernen. Unser Guide Tom erzählte interessante Geschichten. Wir hatten genug Zeit zur freien Verfügung in den bezaubernden Städten, bevor es mit dem Mercedes Van durch die liebliche Landschaft weiterging. Gut, dass wir kleine Stadtpläne erhielten, so fanden wir pünktlich zurück zum Treffpunkt. Unser Gruppenfoto, es fehlt mir, die Gruppe war so nett und international., danke Tom ❤

A fascinating journey through the Cotswolds

The driver/guide, Colin, was very professional, courteous, knowledgeable, well-organised and explained the various sites on the tour very clearly---he knows the Cotswolds! His driving skills were also exceptional...safe and efficient. However, I would suggest that more time be allocated to the visit to Chipping Campden (1 hour was barely sufficient for a look round this very attractive village, let alone any time to grab a cup of tea) even if it means bypassing one of the quick stops (such as Snowshill) or, better still, add an extra half hour to the total tour time rather than rushing back to Moreton-on-Marsh by 4:45 p.m. Also, being the last two passengers picked up by the mini-van in Moreton-in-Marsh made for a rather cramped seating experience on the van in the last two seats in the very back row of the van (although I am not a large person)---the air was usually very stuffy in the back and it got very uncomfortable at times with a much larger passenger seated next to me in the back row of 4 narrow seats. 16 persons squeezed onto every seat on the van was quite cramped, better to use a slightly larger van or limit the load to a slightly smaller number of people so that everyone can enjoy the tour equally well. Also, please provide better air freshening inside the van for both good health and comfort. Colin's obvious affection for the Cotswolds helped somewhat to offset the discomfort of the crowded mini-van but it would have been much better in a less cramped vehicle.

I'm also delighted to hear that you loved Chipping Campden - this is unashamedly my favourite town in the Cotswolds, and I agree that you could easily spend hours and hours here! Sadly, time is something we're always short of on a one-day trip, but we hope we have whetted your appetite to return and spend more time in our wonderful region! Thank you for your feedback regarding our vehicle - I must admit I was rather surprised by this, as we've never received any negative feedback about our vehicles before! Nevertheless, we take your comments on board, and I'm sorry if you felt uncomfortable. For the reassurance of future passengers however, note that our 16-seater Mercedes minibuses are executive-class, custom-built touring vehicles, with (we feel) spacious, comfortable, reclining coach seats, air conditioning, and individual air controls in the panel above each seat. We've had such weird weather lately - bright sunshine one minute, and icy winds the next - that it's hard to keep up and perhaps the air conditioning level wasn't to your satisfaction that day, but a quick word to the driver will soon put that right :-)

Great tour with Mark - thorough, entertaining & relaxing. I would not drive myself through this area as roads are narrow and confusing. We took the train from (Oxford to Moreton on Marsh) which was super easy. Before going back to Oxford we stopped by local pub (The Bell Inn)where JRR Tolkien visited frequently and inspired the Prancing Pony.

Relaxing access to the beautiful Cotswolds

We took the train up to Stratford Upon Avon from Birmingham. Easy to find our terrific driver Colin whom made the day fun and easy. We saw beautiful villages that we never would have gotten to on our own. Colin shared both interesting and funny stories about the region but what really shone through was his genuine love and pride for the place he calls home. We loved the different villages, having time for lunch in Stow on the Wold and a cream team in Bourton on the water. It was truly a lovely and relaxing day filled with beautiful vistas, great stories, and a terrific adventure that we never could have accomplished on our own. Go with Go Cotswolds for easy access to the beautiful Cotswolds and ask for Colin for great stories and recommendations!!

It was a pleasure to have you and Ron on our tour last weekend, and I'm particularly pleased to hear how easy you found it to take a day trip to the Cotswolds from Birmingham. Go Cotswolds is based in Stratford-upon-Avon, so we provide a pick up from the centre of Stratford before heading into the Cotswolds. With regular and inexpensive trains between Stratford-upon-Avon and Birmingham, it really is a very easy day trip to escape the city and head for the (Cotswolds) hills! I'm so pleased to hear that you had a lovey and relaxing day with Colin!
