Hi m0rarj,
Thank you for your feedback.
Unfortunately if the boat cruise is cancelled, this decision is made by the company who run the cruise at Cliffs Of Moher. This is not the decision of Irish Day Tours. If there is a cancellation, our drivers find out the morning of the tour from the captain. You must also understand that in October off the west coast of Ireland, sea conditions may be unsafe for a boat cruise. Waves can potentially be extremely dangerous or the boat itself may be pushed towards the cliffs. There is a chance of a cancellation. Customer safety is a priority.
The Ailwee Caves are a top attraction, and are used in our winter schedule (Nov-March). During April to October, the caves are used as an alternative should the boat cruise be cancelled.
The tour still includes a 5000yr old tomb visit, Doolin, The Burren, Cliffs Of Moher cliff walks in a 12 hour schedule.
I am sorry that on this occasion - October 30th - the cruise was cancelled. However, sea forecasts and the Captain's final decision are beyond our control.
Thank you,
