Schöne Einführung in Gent!

Wir haben unseren Rundgang durch Gent als schöne Einführung in die Stadt genossen. James hat großartige Arbeit geleistet, um Tonnen von Geschichte zu teilen und viel Boden zu Fuß zurückzulegen. So viele Fotomotive in dieser wunderschönen Stadt! Wir hatten eine ziemlich große Gruppe und es schien, dass mehrere Leute einfach zu uns kamen und kostenlos mitmachten, obwohl wir die Tour online gebucht und die Gebühr von 4 $ pro Person bezahlt hatten. Unabhängig davon … ein kleiner Preis, den man zahlen muss, um so viel Wissen über Gent zu erlangen.

James was an excellent guide. He was very knowledgeable about Gent. He was quite helpful in making recommendations for sites to visit and dining/ beer options to try during our stay. This was an easy walking tour, accessible to just about anyone. This tour was well worth a generous tip, and I was disappointed to see some of our fellow travelers did not tip appropriately or at all.

This tour guide did an excellent job of engaging all members of the group and maintaining a comfortable pace and providing a cross section of historical information from the 11th century through to the industrial revolution with some modern perspectives.

We had not planned on visiting Gent but our Historical Walking Tour: Legends of Bruges spoke about Gent so we decided to check it out. James was our guide and he was so knowledgeable about Gent’s history, architecture and even a myth. James was patient and answered questions. Most importantly, he appears to have a passion for his work.

Not so great in Ghent

Previous Legends tours were great; this one not so good. Had trouble understanding guide (tho others did ok), think I missed about 70% of content, seemed like a lot of asides about beer drinking. Not the guides’ fault but raining, hard to get a sense of the area. Also, very chatty participant tied up guide with 1:1 conversation.

A fun day exploring Gent

Liesa was an excellent guide easy to hear and understand. She was passionate about her city, Gent, and loved to tell interesting stories about the buildings and people. At the end of the tour she spent time answering all questions and giving some great suggestions. One was a restaurant to visit to have Flemish Stew. It was excellent. I would highly recommend Legends Tour and especially Liesa.

Tatiana was great. Lots of great stories. She spoke clearly, with enthusiasm and was helpful with recommendations in the end. Highly recommend! (Our 7 year old grew a bit weary, but it was a lot of walking and he didn't understand all the stories, so it's expected).

Great Intro into Gent

Debra’s tour was a great intro to Gent. We were only in town for a day, so she gave us a good historical overview. She walked us through different sections that we would have never found on our own and told us some really cool stories about the buildings and historical people of her city. Debra has a lot of knowledge and a good sense of humor, which is a great combination. I highly recommend her tour.
