Angenehme und nicht hektische Tour!

Nahm die Tour am Sonntag, dem 1. März, Straße 2020, in der Hochsaison außerhalb der Hochsaison. Adrian, unser Reiseleiter, war großartig und sehr kompetent, auch bei Fragen außerhalb des Themas. Es war sehr einfach mit ihm zu plaudern, er erklärte eine Menge lustiger / interessanter Halifax- (und Piraten-) Trivia und machte es für unsere kleine Gruppe wirklich lebendig, da sich keiner von uns kannte. Viel Zeit zum Erkunden, wir fühlten uns nicht gehetzt. Und hat uns untergebracht, als wir auf der Strecke anhalten wollten, um ein paar Fotos zu machen.

a Driver, not a Tour

It's not really a tour. We were dropped off at the Citadelle for an hour with no information. Then we were driven to Peggy's Cove and had a 45 minutes to walk around. The driver never accompanied us. So if you already know the history or Into a DIY tour this would be fine. We didn't learn anything about Halifax until we did the Free Public Gardens tour. So do not recommend. If you are already in Halifax take a taxi to the Citadelle and ask them for a tour. Then book the "Peggy's Cove Express" tour with an operator. Although Lunenberg is also fabulous so try to get there if you have time.

great half day tour of Halifax Citadel, Titanic graveyard and Peggy's Cove

Our guide Peter gave our multigenerational family of 6 a great tour of the Citadel and the Titanic museum and Peggy's Cove. We traveled in a small van which was fine for our group and Peter kept us entertained with lots of information as we toured about. The ride to Peggy's Cove was interesting but the Cove itself was well worth the trip. All in all a great way to see and learn with excellent commentary.

Very Disappointing

We have only just returned to UK after our Canadian Cruise. We were so looking forward to our Halifax NS tour to Peggy’s Cove We waited for collection at the port as arranged and was collected later than advertised We expected a 1 hour visit to Peggy’s cove followed by a 1 hour tour of the citadel The driver was very polite on arrival and did apologise She then gave us a very brief city tour and when I say brief I mean extremely brief she then said we were visiting the citadel There was a queue at the ticket office the guide joined the queue and we were told to wait but after approx 10 minutes she told us to enter so we entered without any tickets and never got any tickets We were a bit confused as were expected a guided tour for an hour only to be told that we had to return back in 25 minutes This meant there was no time to see what the Citadel as it should be and no guided tour at all We then departed and was told we were visiting the Titanic Graveyard for a 5 minute stop This was very interesting but stayed there for a lot longer than expected due to the fact that the guide was also giving explanations about it to other visitors at the cemetery But then we had the journey to Peggy’s Cove which was a very very hair raising journey as she was driving extremely fast and seemed quite dangerous also at one point the vehicle hit a very deep pothole and would be surprised that no damage to vehicle occurred We arrived at Peggy’s cove and was told we should return after 40 minutes Again this visit was cut short by 20 minutes so after the walk out to the lighthouse and back it left very little time for anything else So all in all we were very disappointed with the tour as a whole and the in driving was very dangerous and scary We are not complaining about the politeness of the tour guide but we are complaining about the time taken at visits and the dangerous journey and the tour seemed very rushed maybe due to the late arrival of our guide and alternate itinerary order We look forward to your comments

Our guide Thor did a wonderful job showing us the sights of Halifax as well as providing great insights to the history, and cultural aspects past and present. Beautiful landscapes highlighted by Peggy’s cove, and fascinating historical “markers” eg titanic gravestones, great explosion remnants, Swiss air tragedy memorial, and of course citadel.

We love Peggy's Cove, beautiful. Saw Titanic cemetery and a quick run through the Citadel. Peter was a great guide, patient, nice guy, and good driver. (Unfortunately the tour was not able to have our whole party of 4 in the same van. WARNING - if you are traveling with friends, be SURE to book your party in ONE booking or you very well could be split up.) Tour was in an 8 passenger van -- 3 people in the 2nd and 3rd rows.

Andrew was simply amazing. Had great information and was very engaging. The stops were amazing. You really get to see quite a bit of Halifax and surrounding area. Peggy’s Cove is a must and Andrew had all the info. Amazing.

Peggys Cove was spectacular, but the drive out there and city/citadel tour was great as well. What really made it was the excellent driver/guide (?) Nileh who I couldn’t recommend highly enough. Also, she does Hotel pick up, which is always a great bonus.

Worst tour on this trip. Our tour guide was very nice and knowledgeable about the history but I felt like I was in a history class. I feel information could have been presented in a more fun way! After all we were on vacation. Also the van was an odyssey van and if you have to sit in the third row you’d better be thin and flexible. NOT WORTH THE MONEY!
