Kauai ist eine sehr tolle Insel von der Landschaft her. Die Hawaii Movie Tours war interessant und lustig. Es gab sehr viele Stopps und Zeit genug, von den tollen Kulissen Bilder zu machen. Der Guide konnte sehr viel erzählen und wurde mit sehr viel Wissen und Erfahrung vom Fahrer unterstützt. Die Fahrt dauerte länger als angegeben, was aber alle sehr positiv empfanden, denn man ging auf die Wünsche der Reisenden ein. Ein Besuch von Kauai kann ich jedem nur empfehlen und eine Tour wie die Hawaii Movie Tours ist was tolles. Man sieht da erst mal für wieviele Kinofilme die Insel Pate war.

Diese Tour ist mehr als eine Filmtour. Uns wurde auch über Kaua'i erzählt ... Geschichte usw. Toller Führer und Fahrer. Das Mittagessen ist nicht inbegriffen, aber wir haben eine Stunde in einem Gebiet mit vielen Optionen angehalten.

We have been coming to Kaua’i for around 20 years and haven’t seen some of the places your tour took us. It was great fun and Andrew and Sandy did a great job showing and telling us about Kauai movies done here. It really helped seeing the movies on screen as we were in each place. Ray and Andrew are so much fun! Andrew knew so many fun movie trivia facts and Ray did great driving around the island! This is a must for any movie buff. They take you to filming location hot spots and stop for lunch in their local town.

it was a great tour with an extremely knowledgeable host! I did not know about the history of the coco palms and the 1992 hurricane. The highlight for me was taking a photo with a 1992 Jurrassic Park Crew Badge!

The tour guide and driver were awesome. Learned so much about the island! Beautiful scenery. The two things you need to do to receive 5 stars are as follows: We were harassed as a group at the Gillian’s island stop. Very very h comfortable and just wanted to leave- zero enjoyment and a bit scary. Also one hour in Hanalei- was so rushed. Hardly had time to finish lunch and no time to look around. You have to consider that at that time, others arrive, restaurants are busy. It would have been nice to have at least an extra half hour.

The Movie Tour was excellent and well worth the price and vacation time spent (about 6 ½ hours all told). Andrew grew up in Kauai and is an excellent narrator about island history and the movies that were filmed in Kauai. The tour starts with clips from the many movies filmed or developed here, including animated movies. The one where everybody jumped or gasped was “Dino Croc”. There are stops at some of the most notable natural sites on Kauai including waterfalls and views of the inland mountains with specific references to associated movie scenes such as Raiders of the Lost Ark. Andrew’s background knowledge is great here. For example, we learn that Harrison Ford was not actually used in some scenes, but local talent (a friend of Andrew’s) was substituted at lower cost. We also want to complement Claude, our driver of the minibus, who navigated us safely through the narrow upland roads (we were glad that we left our Hertz rental at the hotel and let Claude do the driving). For lunch, there is one hour, and the restaurants are crowded. You might want to think about packing lunch, although there are a number of small places, BUT leave time for Jojo’s Shave Ice, particularly the coconut, macadamia nut ice over their ice cream (line 4 on their menu). After lunch, there are no more stops until Lihue, but there is a GREAT video (a joint venture between the Weather Channel and the cast of Jurassic Park) of the 1992 hurricane Iniki. It is a PREMIER highlight of the tour. The good thing about a movie tour is that it takes you back in time and you see the context of the past. This tour really gives that perspective. John & Debbie
