After more than 20 years working in Tourism with the best possible commitment and always giving everything for customers, I always heard comments from other colleagues and operators that some customers took advantage of tourist operators threatening them with bad comments in exchange for not doing bad things comments.
Today I found out that these people actually exist, there are people who place themselves as very important as directors, Professor and Vice Chair, showing themselves to be important people, when for us it doesn't matter, because all customers are equal and have the same rights.
After the tour, which we admit the guide may not have had a good day with, we received a request for a partial refund under the heading of Booked wrong tour/date, when in reality the same happened on the date you chose.
At the same time, he informed us of the refund request with the designation:
"Will withhold review until refund is resolved. "
In fact, we were blackmailed into giving him a 50% refund, otherwise he would have a negative review.
After speaking with the guide, who informed us that the day had gone as expected and with the expected duration, and as we had never had a similar situation before, we decided to give him a refund, as nobody likes negative comments and the customer "should" always be right.
What happens is that even so, he unfairly made a negative comment.
It is clear that he used us to benefit from his tour and that is certainly something he will do repeatedly in order to take advantage of operators with false blackmail.
Unfortunately it is sad, but these situations happen, with us it was the first and certainly the last, as we will not fall into another one again.
