Wo und was wir gesehen haben, war großartig. Wir werden die Zeit und Reise wert sein. Ein Kommentar, dass der Reiseleiter warten und sicher sein muss, dass alle Kunden von Bord gegangen sind, bevor sie zu Spaziergängen aufbrechen.

Wo kann ich anfangen? 1) Die Reiseleiterin, die wir hatten, war sehr unprofessionell und unhöflich. Irgendwann war klar, dass sie nicht dort sein wollte und nach Hause wollte, wie sich zeigte, indem sie unsere Tour um fast 2 Stunden verkürzte und dem Wetter die Schuld gab. 2) Dies war weniger eine Tour als vielmehr eine Fahrt zu den drei Haltestellen. Jedes Mal wurden wir verlassen und mussten mit sehr wenig Kontext und Informationen, mit denen wir arbeiten konnten, auf uns selbst gestellt sein. Mein Rat: Überspringen Sie diese Reisegesellschaft und verwenden Sie eine andere. Wir hatten das Gefühl, dass wir von dieser Erfahrung sehr wenig bis gar nichts mitbekommen haben.

Hello Jared, Thank you for your review and we are sorry to hear you felt you got very little to nothing from this experience. We are surprised to hear that the guide was unprofessional and rude as she normally gets 5 star reviews and is very enthusiastic about history. In terms of the tour being cut short by 2 hours, we have had a look at the timings in regards to this. All passenger vehicles are legally required to have trackers onboard so we can see the exact timings of the route and yours was as follows: Arrival in Dover Castle 10:46 - 2.16 hrs at the castle Arrival at White Cliffs 13:20 - 1.10 hrs at the cliffs Arrival in Canterbury 15:09, departure at 16:45 - 1.5 hrs in Canterbury. We sometimes leave Canterbury between 5-5:15 pm in summer but you travelled on 18th December, 3 days before the winter solstice, when the sun sets at 3:30pm and so it was dark when you left. Your tour was not cut short by 2 hours. Kind Regards Anderson Tours

Reise war ok - nicht schlecht, aber auch nicht großartig. Kein WLAN im Bus - auch eher beengte Platzverhältnisse. Führer und Fahrer waren überdurchschnittlich. Ging am Tag zuvor mit einer anderen Firma - sie waren viel besser.

Hi Amita, Many thanks for your review. Unfortunately, we don't have Wi-fi in our coaches, hence the reason why we are not advertising this facility. I am sorry to hear that you felt there was cramped space on the coach. The coach provided was a 57-seater with normal leg room and a lot of free seats, so the only problem that there could be is manufacturing wise, as all coaches are pretty much the same. Take care!

Haley war wunderbar und hatte viele Ratschläge. Das Weiße Klippen waren spektakulär und Tunnel aus dem Zweiten Weltkrieg interessant und die Zeit wert. Zu verschwommen, um Frankreich zu sehen, aber immer noch wunderbar. Canterbury war einfach unglaublich und sehr bewegend für diesen Episkopaler aus den Staaten. Ich empfehle sehr

Unsere Tour durch Canterbury und Dover

Unser Besuch im Dover Castle wurde dadurch getrübt, dass das Castle wegen Sturmschäden für Besucher geschlossen war und wir erst bei der Ankunft am Castle Gate informiert wurden. Uns wurde gesagt, dass eine teilweise Rückerstattung des Tourticketpreises angeboten würde, von der ich hoffe, dass sie eintreten würde.

Hi Peter, We are extremely sorry for the last-minute closure of Dover Castle. We had checked that they were open before departing, but they decided after a walk-round of the castle later in the morning that they would have to close due to storm damage, so this was a very last-minute decision. We investigated the possibility of visiting another castle instead (Leeds Castle) but they also closed at short notice shortly thereafter. We hope you enjoyed the extra time at the white cliffs and Canterbury instead, and our customer service manager is contacting everyone to offer to re-book at a discounted rate or be given a partial refund for the Dover Castle entrance. Apologies again for any disappointment caused by not being able to visit Dover Castle, but unfortunately the situation was out of our control. Best Wishes, The Anderson Tours Team

Unser Reiseleiter Brendan war sehr kompetent. Dover Castle war eine großartige Tour und die Klippen wunderschön, mit Ausnahme des Nebels. Überspringen Sie den Kriegstunnel, da die Präsentation viel zu lang ist und Zeit in Anspruch nimmt, die Sie im Schloss verbringen könnten. Die Kathedrale von Canterbury war außergewöhnlich, besonders die Krypta und der Innenhof, in dem Harry Potter gedreht wurde. Geschäfte und Restaurants in Canterbury haben Spaß gemacht.

Die Kommunikation war perfekt. Timings genau richtig. Hätte mir etwas mehr Zeit an den weißen Klippen von Dover gewünscht. Aber insgesamt eine fantastische Erfahrung. Unser Führer Kirsten und Fahrer Clive waren sehr freundliche und nette Leute. Ich würde in Betracht ziehen, in Zukunft über Anderson-Touren zu buchen.

Angenehmer Tag in Dover und Canterbury!

Dover Castle war der Höhepunkt für mich. Englands größtes Schloss mit einem faszinierenden Tunnelkomplex enthielt unter anderem unterhaltsame Cameo-Auftritte von Schauspielern, die Parodien von König Heinrich II. Und seiner königlichen Familie aufführten. Die Reiseleiterin war freundlich und lieferte interessante historische Übersichten über Fahrten zwischen den Sehenswürdigkeiten. Ich ziehe einen Stern ab, weil der Führer uns in nur 40 Minuten nach Canterbury brachte, um Englands älteste Kathedrale vor Schließung zu besichtigen. OK für mich, aber wenn Sie ein Kathedralenmensch sind, der auf mehr Zeit hofft, nehmen Sie zur Kenntnis. Insgesamt ein hervorragender Tag!

Booked this tour because the reviews were pretty good. Pros: the sights are amazing. The locations complement each other well and this tour had the potential to be great. A little more time at Dover Castle wouldn’t hurt! Cons: our tour departed 48 minutes late. There was not notice, no communication of any kind that this was happening and was not explained. Our tour guide had very little information about any of the locations, but later discovered this was his first tour. No problem. The bus missed several turns, we had to wait for late passengers at two locations and did not arrive at Canterbury until 3:30 and it closes at 5. The tour was advertised as a 10 hour and 30 minutes tour and was more like 8:30/9 hours, even after the bus made an unexpected “emergency” stop which was not explained either. It was beautiful, but the communication, organization and administration was seriously lacking.

First time tour guide - no WC on coach - very choppy ride

The tour was scheduled to start at 9am & we were told to be ready to board at 8:50. I called Anderson at 9:10 & asked where the bus was. The Anderson representative called the tour guide & he said they would be there in 10 minutes. They finally showed up at 9:48. I wanted to give the tour director some leeway since it was his first ever tour, but too many unexplained things happened on this tour. The tour director didn't tell everyone to keep the same seat they had when they got on the coach, so because of this there were some conflicts on the bus. I told the tour director in between the 1st stop and the 2nd that he has to make that announcement to take control of the tour. He made the announcement when we got back to the coach after visiting Dover Castle. On the way home from Canterbury Cathedral, the tour director made an announcement that we hade to make an "emergency stop". He never said what it was for, but we stopped at the Intercontinental and one person exited the coach. She returned in 10-15 minutes. Before this stop, we were scheduled to return by 6:47 pm (according to Waze). Because of this stop, we didn't return until 7:19 pm (which is what Waze predicted). I have no idea why we stopped - I am guessing it was a WC stop, since the Anderson coach had no WC on it. Because of the tour leaving late, we did not have enough time at Dover Castle. One person was 20 minutes late from a 30 minute stop at the White Cliffs of Dover and because of this, we didn't have enough time at Canterbury Cathedral. Now let's get to the driver/coach. I am not sure if it was the driver or the coach, but I have never encountered so many short stops/ screeching stops on a tour (and I have done 20+ tours). It is a miracle people on the coach didn't get nauseous. While the sites were amazing, the guide, driver, and coach left MUCH to be desired. Please address Anderson about this on my behalf.
