Keine echte indische Mahlzeit, nur Snacks und Kichererbsen!

Ich gebe schlechte Bewertungen ab, weil diese 200 $ teure Tour nicht die guten indischen Mahlzeiten bot, die ich normalerweise im Restaurant bekomme. Stattdessen gab er uns Kichererbsen und Bohnen und ein paar einfache Snacks, bis wir satt waren, und gab uns am Ende noch etwas Lammhopfen und Hühnchen. Ich erwartete, etwas Hühnchen- und Lamm-Masala und Curry und andere gute indische Eintöpfe zu essen. Außerdem brachte er uns stattdessen zu einem Lebensmittelgeschäft, zeigte uns Gewürze und redete zu viel über indische Gewürze und andere Kulturen, redete aber hauptsächlich ständig seine persönliche Meinung zu allem, was mich an der Tour interessierte. Er berührte auch das Essen und die Gewürze mit seinen Händen und stellte sie dann zum Essen vor uns hin! ! ! ! Ernsthaft? Ich könnte 25 Dollar bezahlen und sehr gutes echtes indisches Essen essen. Bei dieser 200-Dollar-Tour haben wir nur Kichererbsen und Bohnen und ein paar sehr einfache Snacks gegessen und zu viel über Gewürze und seine politischen und sozialen engstirnigen Meinungen gehört. Überhaupt nicht beeindruckt. Überlegen Sie es sich zweimal, bevor Sie sich für diese Tour entscheiden

Firstly the aim of this tour is to allow you to experience authentic food from the Indian subcontinent in this diverse thriving part of London. These foods include the delights of the region's lentils, pulses and street snacks and are a part of the cuisine we aim to highlight, so why you have negative views on this part of the cuisine is unclear to me and is inconsistent to what we are trying to showcase. From your response, it seems that you expected to eat what you normally order and get at your normal high-street Indian restaurant; however, again, the whole idea of this tour is to educate and present the wide variety of food that Indian cuisine offers. This tour does include chicken and lamb curries and grilled meat delights, so I am confused as to why you believe these were absent. Our guides are selected based on their ability to show great people skills and have a true passion for what they do. Your guide on this tour is no exception and has generated a huge amount of 5-star reviews in his time with us. We are sorry if you had any issues with his personal opinions or felt he talked about the spices and culture too much. Our clients highly value this information, which is a huge reason for them selecting our tours. We are sorry to hear you felt otherwise. As for touching the food, it sounds like you are referring to the spice box we showcase to learn about spices. In this demonstration, the spices are passed around so you can feel, touch and smell them, but they are not part of the foods we serve. The spice box is only used for the tour and not in anything we eat. Everything we serve is never handled by our hands and is served in main dishes for people to access. Finally, your point on paying $25 to go to an Indian restaurant and eat well is almost the entire opposite of what we set out to do. Our tours help serve up a large variety of food from a range of interesting venues, providing a social, cultural and even mildly theatrical experience by which at the end of the tour, our aim is that you have fun, eat very well and have gone away with a memory of a lifetime. We are sorry that these elements we offer are very different from what you had wanted; we believe this is well represented in our product descriptions. Enjoyed learning about the history of the neighborhood and Indian cuisine while sampling yummy foods. Learning about the ingredients and culture made it that much more meaningful. After three hours, left stuffed with food and appreciation. Dietary restrictions were completely honored.

We have done walking food tours through Viator in the past but this was *the best* by far. The food was plentiful and delicious with a great variety of Indian food, drinks and desserts to try. Our hostess Nanthini, a native born Indian, was fun and extremely knowledgeable of the dishes, spices and preparation methods. If you enjoy Indian food, book this awesome tour! You will leave full, happy and smarter for the experience. It was well worth it!!

Incredible Experience

The food and the location were absolutely perfect! We were able to try a large variety if Indian food and all of it was incredibly delicious. The best part was our guide, he was funny and so nice! He was extremely knowledgeable and actually had a previous career as a professional chef! I learned so much on this tour about Indian cuisine and cooking. I could not recommend this tour enough!

Tanu (not sure on the spelling, sorry), our host, was amazing, engaging, personable, funny, and knowledgeable. The food was delicious and plentiful, and we tried dishes we've never had before. This experience was a great value for what we paid. We visited 3 different places, including a grocery store, and then we got the desserts at a 4th place. We walked to a park, and we thought we were going to eat the desserts there and the tour would end. But, nope! We went to a Pakistani restaurant, where we were served 4 more dishes! Highly recommend this tour.

A bit pricey but the kitchen tour at the end was the big highlight. Our guide even gave us a quick tutorial on Indian pickles and spices at a local grocery store. Lots of food. You won't leave hungry. A great tour for people who are new to or want to learn more about Indian food.
