Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit. Dewey war unser Typ und er war ein großartiger Reiseleiter, kenntnisreich und hatte seinen eigenen kleinen Alligator an Bord, den wir alle halten konnten. Er versuchte mehrmals, einen Alligator an Bord zu bringen, aber sie arbeiteten nicht zusammen. Viel Spaß.

Die Reiseleiterin war sehr kompetent und konnte alle unsere Fragen zu den Tieren und der Umgebung beantworten. Schöne Airboat-Fahrt (die kleine) und viele Alligatoren!

Swamp Tour- Not JUST a Gator Tour

Put your guide was awesome. He was the guys who graduated in marine biology. Dad jokes were the best. He told us about the marine life in the swamp, Louisiana history and origins, and specifically about the Gators. We went during their hibernation season and weren’t promised to see gators but we saw many. Don’t go on the tour during winter if your only was torn to see gators cause it might not happen! That’s ok, there’s plenty more to learn about and see during the tour.

We had a great time. Brad, the captain and tour guide, went the extra mile to show us wildlife and talk about the history and ecology of the area. It's a really professional operation, and run by locals who know what they are talking about. Highly recommend.

It was a great tour & the best tour guide ever. We saw so many gators! Unfortunately we were shortened 25 min out of our booked 2 hour tour which was very unfortunate.

The large airboat swamp tour was excellent! Our guide was very knowledgeable about the environment. We saw large and small alligators throughout the trip. It was fun to go fast on the airboat. Thankful for the ear protection provided. Highly recommend! Great for the whole family.

One of the best parts of our short little getaway! We were in a small 6 person group and the air boat operator was amazing. Extremely funny, responsible, very knowledgeable about his city and answered everyone's questions fully and articulately. Would definitely experience this again!

I went with my husband and mother-in-law. It has been a dream of hers to go on an airboat into the swamp. This was the perfect trip for her! We got to see some great swamp wildlife and got to travel the swamps and marshes. The tour guide and captain of the boat was extremely personable, funny, and informative. We got to learn a lot about the wildlife in Louisiana. The captain goes at a slow speed to look for wildlife, then speeds up to go through straightaways. The tour provides protective ear wear which I suggest wearing because the airboat is extremely loud....especially when the boat is going fast! We will definitely be returned on our next visit to NOLA!

The Airboat was Amazing! Viator was not

If your thinking about booking an airboat tour, DO IT! But go directly through Louisiana Tour Company. They were fantastic, start to finish. The tour was worth every penny. Viator, the booking company (not the actual tour company), seemed shady. I called in for the $40 tour. They said it wasn't available, but could do a $59 boat large airboat at 4:15 that day or 2:15 or 4:15 the next day. Ok, no problem. Said I'd call them back after running it by my friend. Called back literally 1 minute later from my same phone. Suddenly, oh no, now there's only a $75 tour available, but you'll get a smaller boat which is safer anyway. Um..no. at this point, I'm seeing a pattern as the price keeps jumping up and up. So I decline and use my friends phone to call back immediately. Sure enough, the $59 tour is suddenly available again the same day, at the time we wanted. I book it & decline all the various other tours they wanted to sign us up for. As it turned out, we weren't able to make it on time to the tour. I called the Louisiana Tour Company directly as I didn't trust Viator. They were incredible! Not only did they immediately get us switched to the next morning (which Viator told us was unavailable unless we went for the $79+ option), they were so kind and made it hassle free. The next morning, we showed up for the tour and had the time of our lives. The guide was phenomenal. We saw alligators and all kinds of beautiful things. The boat ride was plenty safe, but a blast. I would definitely do it again (and am planning on it) but I'll be booking directly through the tour company in the future.

It was a very hot day so dress for the weather. Our guide kept the boat moving most of the time so it was not bad. Definitely enjoyed the trip and learned something as well.

these guides know their swamps :) the airboats are wicked and only add to the experience of seeing tons of gators!

The airboat was a fun and educational experience. The air boat catches some speed once you get into open water so you get some fresh Cajun AC, as our tour guide put it (as opposed to the regular boat that goes fairly slow). We spotted several alligators and our tour guide fed them marshmallows and even petted them. Only complain would be that it was hot and there’s no shade so we were sweating a lot and my legs got sun burned- but other wise i’m very happy with the ride.

This was an awesome experience! It was a little cold but a ton of fun. Got to see 2 alligators and some other wildlife. Our tour guide was very pleasant.

Large Airboat Swamp Tour - not worth it

This tour isn’t worth the money if you’re going in the winter. We went around the swamp in circles for 2 hours and only saw 1 tiny gator. Tour guide was okay-knowledgeable but in a rude way. The bus drivers taking us to the swamp were disorganized and yelling at each over their radios and didn’t know who was picking up who. It also seemed like the boat drivers were disorganized too- they had people moving from boat to boat and everyone was confused. However, it was nice to be on the water and it would probably be better in summer.
