Die Reise war gut geplant und alles hat reibungslos funktioniert. Der Fahrer war sehr zuvorkommend und ging auf die Bedürfnisse von uns ein. Das einzig weniger gute war das Hotel da es sehr kalt und “kahl” war. Aber für diesen Preis kann man sich nicht beschweren.

Super Ausflug. Wir haben so viel gesehen und erlebt. Jederzeit wieder! Unser Guide Mohamed war unglaublich, er war mega nett und hat die etwas längere Busfahrt aufgelockert mit Witzen und uns jede unserer Fragen beantwortet, er war super hilfsbereit. Ich kann immer noch nicht glauben was man alles geboten bekommt für so einen geringen Preis. Ich habe sogar ein kostenloses Upgrade in ein Luxus wüstencamp bekommen weil sie mir aus versehen zuerst doppelt die Anzahlung abgerechnet haben. Habe ich aber am ersten Tag persönlich vom Chef zurückbekommen.

Kann diese Reise nicht genug empfehlen. Alle Stopps und der Tagesplan waren klar formuliert, es gab viele Fotomöglichkeiten und Toilettenpausen. Freundlicher Service. Riad & Zelte waren brillant (Pullover / Jacke in der Wüste erforderlich). Fühlte mich sehr sicher und umsorgt.

Amazing experience

A bucket-list experience for anyone who likes a bit of adventure on their holidays. Although the journey there long there are plenty of great stops at interesting places and the whole Sahara trip was great. We upgraded to luxury tent which was well worth it. Trip home is very long but worth it for the tour adventure.

Highlight of our Trip to Morocco

Absolutely incredible experience seeing the variety of Moroccan landscapes. Starting in the breathtaking Atlas mountains, we saw them covered in snow. We then went on to Ait Ben Haddou where we had lunch and a tour with a local guide of the UNESCO World Heritage site. We passed by the Dades Valley (not the right season to see anything) before arriving at our hotel for dinner and overnight. The hotel was very cold, so bring warm clothes. The next day we visited the Toudra Gorges and Tinghra Grove with a local Berber guide who was again very knowledgeable and explained everything very well. After this was the lowlight of the trip - we visited a Berber house and were given the opportunity to buy carpets. Whilst it was interesting to hear a little bit about how the carpets were made, this was essentially a marketing opportunity and it was a bit uncomfortable being slightly pressured into making a purchase (no one in our group did in the end). Following this, we drove to the desert, where we had a camel ride to our camp. This was absolutely amazing, and the highlight of our trip to Morocco. We opted for the luxury camp which had a private en-suite and comfortable (and warm!) bed. The third day was a full day of driving, which is unavoidable due to the poor road network connecting Marrakech to the east. Our driver, Mohamed, was great, talking to us along the way and always offering to take our pictures in front of the sights (but absolutely not in a pushy way). Finally - the things that would need to change to make this 5 stars: 1) Lunches were expensive. A decent lunch in Marrakech would set you back about Dh50, but expect to pay over double this. The places we stopped all had set menus for ~Dh100-Dh120 excluding drinks. It would have made sense to include this in the price of the trip and speed up everyone paying at the end of lunch. Stopping at cheaper/better places would also be better. 2) Not much information was given by the drivers on the routes we passed by. On trips I have done in the past, the drivers/guides have told us a bit about the history of the country and the places we passed, which would have been nice here. Tips for those looking to book this tour: 1) Bring warm clothes! It can get very cold in the mountains and at night, especially in the winter months. 2) Prepare yourself for a long drive on the way back. 3) Bring around Dh500 per person as a minimum. The first two lunch stops took card payment, but many places take cash only. 4) Book this and enjoy it!

The best parts of this trip was visting Ben air haddou with our tour guide Omar! He was a great guide, very extroverted, funny, and taught us a lot about Morocco. He also took us to the desert where we rode camels and sand boarded. He also stopped along the way and bought us all dates. Great time and great guide !

No dont even think about this tour

First the trip was long and of course we cant avoid it. However, the guide we got ( Mohammad is not a guide but a driver. he cannot talk English and totally useless. We could not understand even the few words he spoke. we passed many cities and stopped at many places but he never gave any information on the significance or talked about the history. The van we travelled in was not comfortable at all. We were sitting in the front row and we could not even extend our legs because the front was boarded up. Our knees were hitting the board througout the 2 day travel. They stopped at places to eat which was rubbish place even though they passed many nice restaurants and cafes. We wanted to ride camel one way into dessert and return back in motorized scooter. However we were not given an option of this because we stayed in luxury spa !! go figutre!! Overall a big dissapointment and will not recommend this tour to anyone who really want to explore and enjoy the trip. what a waste of time and money!!

Hakim is the best tour guide for this tour. He is very kind, patient and helpful he event helps me to find cough medicine and get more blankets at the camp. I highly recommended Hakim to be your tour guide. The only input I have is the camp ground don’t have any heater and very cold there

Sunset in the Sahara

First hour riding our camels in the dunes, climbing the highest one, watching the sunset atop the Sahara Desert while people sandboarded and marveled too. Next morning, we awoke at the crack of dawn and trekked back by camel to see the sunrise. Almost a third of our group opted to return by ATV so the mixture of this was unforgettable. It was the most majestic memory of my life.

Great dessert tour with Iddir!

Iddir took us on a awesome trip from Marrakech to the dessert with several interesting stops along the way. There are local guides that show you around the sights and tell you some of the history and culture of the different areas you’re stopping at. For me the highlight was the Todra gorge where we stopped at very green valley that seemed to have appear from nowhere. There we learned about the local traditions and agriculture! Can really recommend this trip if you want to learn more about Marocco and it’s traditions.

Amazing itinerary and guide - it was a long journey from Marrakech to Merzouga but there were ample stops and local guides a long the way, making the trip feel a lot quicker. The camp in the desert was definitely the highlight. Amazing value for money!

A very long yet safe and well planned way to see the Sahara

This trip is well planned, very safe, easy, and requires no thinking on your part to see the Sahara. It's definitely the way to go if you want to sit back and let the tour curate your trip. However, the trip is not without it's flaws. It's a very long distance to Marrakech to Merzouga and you will spend a lot of time in a car. You will be a part of a large tour group which I understand makes things easier for the company to manage but it always feels odd showing up a place for lunch with 50 other tourists. Your personal group will be smaller but multiple vans will meet at lunch spots and the Sahara. Lunch was a big disappointment. You're taken to pre chosen spots that were the most expensive meals of my time in Morocco while also being the worst, so that was disappointing. Your actual time in the Sahara is also very short, about 3 hours total. The last day is also totally lost driving back. Nothing you can control but be prepared for a 12 hour travel day going back. If I had the means and the money, I'd rent a car and travel down there on my own and spend more time in the dunes. However, if you want a quick trip with no planning needing, this tour will be great for you. Our tour guide Hesham was fantastic too. He always made sure we were taken care of and was very sweet. These tour guides do a lot of work and spend a lot of time away from their family and if you are satisficed with them, please tip them at the end. I was the only person who tipped our guide after spending 3 days of taking care of us.
