Amazing!!! We had so much fun and Gabriel and Jason were amazing! Very friendly and attentive, especially to my 4 year old. You honestly felt like family after the tour was over. High recommend!!!

Our hosts from beginning of booking to end of day were very accommodating . We learned a lot about the Island and it’s history in a unique way as we kayaked in beautiful turquoise water.

Great experience kayaking with Jason! He is very knowledgeable of the area and sea life. We got to see 4 turtles, coral reefs, and a bonus sighting of some humpback whales! It was a great day on the water.

We loved it. Never was in a kayak before and this was a easy & relaxing tour. Especially considering we are older & not as physically active as we once wore. Papa bear & Gabriel also make the trip very fun & educational each in their own way. Would highly recommend this tour!! And they & Maui need you more now then ever. We were there in June 6 weeks before the fires. Our heart breaks for them & all our the locals that were affected by this horrible event!!! Prayers & Much Love from The Roberts from Reading, PA

We had a wonderful tour out on the water. Safety was first, taking into consideration Hurricane Dora, which was threatening the island in the coming days. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and kept us entertained. The tour provided all the necessary equipment to keep us safe during the tour. The water guns were a hit with my 6 year old. Paddling with the pontoons took some getting used to but we did appreciate its purpose for stability. We would do this tour again if visiting Maui!

We had a blast with Gabriel’s Ohana. Jason was so helpful and knowledgeable and great at coaching snorkeling techniques. He helped coach me on breathing and after previous tough experiences with snorkeling, Jason made this one great and had the best experience.

We had such a wonderful time on this tour! My husband is skilled with a kayak, but I am not and it didn’t matter. It was easy to learn how to use. Jason and his team were absolutely fantastic! They treated us like family and gave us a one of a kind memory. We got to see beauty all around us and learn a lot about the history of this area. Bonus at the end: a monk seal came up on shore to sun bathe! Would recommend to anyone! 10/10

Our event was cancelled due to weather. We’re disappointed as my daughter really wanted to go on the clear kayak. Unfortunately there was no more availability during our stay so we’ll try again on our next vacation.

It is a shame for all involved that we had bad weather during your trip. You visited as Hurricane Dora was on the way to the islands. Due to the large bands of weather that precede a hurricane there are times when our reef may get silty and hard to see. There will be times waves will be breaking and winds will be strong. As a seasoned waterman, I know the difference between a quality day and a day that would be regrettable. Fighting against hard gusts makes it a little difficult to enjoy the reef below and the sea turtles tend to hunker down beneath the coral heads. There are certainly other companies who will take you out on the water. I have watched kayaks flip and people struggle with other companies in the past. We are just not that kind of company. Greed will never be a motivator for my family. I find it vile and opportunistic when other companies do it to be quite frank. It is our core belief that if there is a better way to spend your day as opposed to being on the water on an unpleasant experience, we will cancel and reschedule. I promise you, this is for the good of your memories and the quality of your short time on our beautiful island, not the good of my business income or my personal happiness. It saddens me deeply whenever I cannot take guests out on a tour. I do this work because it is special to me. It is a passion for me and there is no place on the planet I would rather be than on a reef making new friends, teaching eager listeners and living vicariously through their smiles every day. It is never work, it is always a joy. We strive extra hard because we think of every one of our guests as if it is the only chance in their lives that they will ever visit this island. I do hope that is not the case for you and your daughter. If you visit again be sure to reach out by phone. My wife will be happy to take your reservation and offer you a discount for the previous disappointment you experienced. It never helps to hear that we have let down a child, we can only find solace in knowing that she didn't have a bad memory of something she had high expectations for. To any of our future guests please be sure to book your tour early in your vacation. Reach out early. As we specialize in understanding our weather conditions, we can help you choose the best day for your excursion with us. Also, If the weather turns sour, we offer an full refund and can advise you on other free and unique places to go to. This way you can still enjoy the 4 hours or so that you would have spent with our ohana. As opposed to feeling lost with no plan in place for the day. After living here for as long as we have, you will find we know a lot of great spots. Again we are sad your daughter was let down. I was hesitating when booking because lack of reviews, but the experience is awesome! Crew are awesome, clear instructions for meetup and prep, also provided sunscreen and snacks. This is our first time kayaking and the clear kayak is great for viewing<

Jason, our tour guide, made the entire experience amazing. He was so full of knowledge, he was enthusiastic, filled with kindness and he really made sure we were informed, comfortable and we received a plethora of useful information of the corals, the sea, and even a background of the islands. Jason and Gabriel provided everything we needed from water, snacks, pineapple, bananas, rash guards, reef safe sun block and overall an amazing experience.

They cancelled last minute due to “high winds and surfs” though the winds and surfs were not high as we saw many others engaging in the same activities during the same time frame when we walked the beach. They have yet to send anything confirming a refund will be issued though they did report so via text message.

A must do with Gabriels Ohana. They were wonderful! Super patient, kind, and knowledgeable. All of us had a great time! Would highly recommend this company to take your family out onto the water. The day we spent out with them was one of our favorite days in Maui. Jason and Gabriel helped us get comfortable and out into the water.

Kayaking Clearly Rocks!

Although we are experienced kayakers, this was our first time kayaking in Maui, and we thought it would be interesting viewing the ocean through a clear kayak. It was! We kayaked over a big reef, and although we didn't see a lot of fish, we saw some, and we also saw a young sea turtle. Gabriel was a fun, knowledgeable, and engaging guide. We did find the pontoons on the sides of the kayak a little annoying to paddle around, and it was hard to maintain a smooth stroke. We were treated to calm waters though, and could see where the pontoons would we welcome when the waters are rough. We enjoyed tasty pineapple and conversation with Gabriel and his father once we were back on shore. It's nice to support a small, family-owned business!

Amazing adventure in a clear kayak

My boyfriend and I had such an amazing time kayaking and snorkeling with Gabriel’s Ohana. Jason was a phenomenal guide, he had so much to share about the creatures that live in these waters and the history of Hawaii. I was blown away by how generous he was with his time and knowledge. The highlight of the trip was when a very friendly sea turtle came up to our kayaks and played around with us, swimming under the clear bottoms and then popping his head up in the middle of our group of kayaks. I was so happy that our kayaks had pontoons because that made them very stable as I twisted and turned trying to get a good shot of the playful turtle. I think if we were in regular kayaks I probably would have flipped us over. We added snorkeling to our trip which was so fun because we got to see lots of fish and sea urchins and two more turtles! Overall, I can’t recommend Gabriel’s Ohana enough. They made our trip to Maui truly unforgettable and I’m so glad that we did this excursion at the beginning of our vacation because Jason had so many great recommendations for other things to see and do in Maui.
