Traumhaftes Erlebnis

Es war alles traumhaft bistbauf die Temperatur im Bus, eisigst. Wir sahen einen traumhaften Sonnemaufgang, es wurden Bilder von uns gemacht und ein leckeres Frühstück gb es auch.

Our experience rating would be a 5+ had it not been for the bus breaking down and the driver having to be ultra aggressive to make it to the top of the mountain before sunrise with the new bus. Aside from the aggressive driving along the cliffs compounded by the stories of past accidents, the driver was excellent!

Aloha and Thank you for your feedback. Driving buses up a 10,000ft volcano daily, there always is the chance of a breakdown. Glad that our driver gave a good tour and was able to get you up in time for Sunrise, but we will remind our team to operate in a safe manner, and to not rush if it compromises the experience or safety. Our tour guide was great. He took us to extra spots and told us tips of things and even took pictures for us really quick in the different areas. He showed us some native flowers and told us about the animals and which are native and which have been brought here. He tried to get us to each place quick to get some of the best spots and pictures. It was a great experience. One we will never forget!

This tour was a one-of-a kind experience that I’m so glad we said “yes” to! Michael was a wonderful and knowledgeable tour guide, and so kind. He even took special photos for each family/couple on board. Because of the smaller bus, we had a chance and stop and get delicious donuts before breakfast. The views were incredible all morning - and not just the sunrise! Show up having eaten a small morning snack to tide you over - and consider bringing a winter hat and gloves, as the temps were freezing with the strong wind chill. (The company also provides handy wind pants and jackets!) Overall, so glad we got to see such a beautiful sunrise!

Wonderful experience that I would totally do again. Gorgeous sunrise tour of Haleakala National Park overlooks. Views at sunrise were stunning and the colors were amazing. The guide, Michael, was a wealth of knowledge and made the experience so fun. From great views, interesting stories told, history lessons of the national park and of Maui, and a great breakfast stop this well worth my time and waking up early. Thanks again for a wonderful experience!

It f***ing sucked because it was canceled. Everything we have tried to do so far on Maui has been canceled at the last minute. So yeah not happy at all. Perhaps I should have stayed in Wisconsin

A must-see sunrise

Easy peasy way to see the sunrise! Michael picked up our family and friends right at the front door of our hotel, and navigated the switchbacks with ease. We all got a windbreaker to help with the cold, and we arrived on top of the mountain in time to have front-row position to see the awesome sunrise. Michael told many stories of the island history throughout the event. Be prepared for a LONG day - the trip took a full 10 hours, but it was definitely a must-do!

This is without question the best thing I did on Maui. Michael was the best tour guide. He gave us quiet time on the way up as it was the middle of the night. We got a few more winks of sleep before getting us to top in time to see the pre- sunrise show. He made sure we had a prime viewing location and the sunrise did not disappoint! It was a cold windy predawn so all the warnings to dress in layers for warmth were very much appreciated. On the trip down we stopped several times to see more spectacular views and learn more about the volcano and the history of Maui and Hawaii. Breakfast in Kula was good. My only regret is not taping Michael as he gave us the history during the drive down. I would do this again as each sunrise brings it’s own special colors.

Our tour guide Cory made the trip worthwhile. It was cloudy and rainy on top of the mountain when we got there- but Cory did his best to show us a good time. We learned a lot about Hawaii and it’s history. And we laughed all the way down the mountain! Mahalo

I loved our tour guide Eddie! The bus was clean, temp controlled, and an easy drive to the top! I brought a shirt, sweatshirt, fleece leggings, boots, a hat, scarf, and gloves. We also brought our hotel blanket. We were still freezing! They’re not kidding about it being cold up there! I got a couple sunrise pics before the clouds rolled in and blocked the rest but it was still a very beautiful and surreal experience to be in/above the clouds! 100/10 recommend!

Mike, our tour guide was amazing. Great stories, historical facts and getting us set up in the perfect viewing spot. Breakfast at the end was very good too. Even though It was extremely windy which made it VERY cold, I highly recommend. Dress warm!

What an amazing trip! Our guide Michael was exceptional - very knowledgeable, friendly, and concerned about our comfort on the ride and on the mountain. This is an absolute must for anyone visiting Maui who want an inclusive National Park Experience. Bring warm clothes and a time lapse camera and a positive attitude - you will have a blast!
