The app and instructions along the way were so easy to use and very intertwining. On the way back it was really nice to listen to the stories shared, but we were so tired that the calm music was hard to listen, we needed to hear something more up beat to stay awake 😂😂

We had a car of 6 people and it truly made for a great experience! We all loved learning about Hawaii and the areas that we were passing through! The road to Hana wouldn’t have been nearly as fun without the guide. The music was great too! We loved it!

Wow this was great! Prepare to spend all day with this tour and I love that it was at our own pace and our own car. we could pick and choose what we wanted to see. Sooo much cheaper than my other tour that was planned and the tour guide got sick and had to cancel at the last minute. 20.00 compared to 458.00!!! Best 20 dollars spent!!

Road to hana and the shaka guide are a match made in heaven! We enjoyed the ride up and back, the stories are very informative. The app was easy to navigate. The sights we visit this time were beautiful and worth the site! Only 3 or 4 of the parks required admission fees. Highly recommend for people who are good with navigation and driving long distances. Worth the all day trip!

Excellent alternative to taking a tour

Excellent guide. I’ve taken a professional tour of Hana before, but found taking the road to Hana on our own using the Shaka Guide was a better experience. We got to go at our own pace and decide where we wanted to stop. The entire family enjoyed listening to the stories. Will definitely use again on our next trip.

Great Road to Hana experience

The pre-planning tips were spot on. Also, the music was surprisingly pleasant. The app was easy to use, the narrator struck just the right tone. We listened for hours and never tired of the interesting points. It was just a terrific accompaniment for the Hana Road!
