Tolle Reise

Wir können nicht genug gute Dinge über die Crew und die Gastfreundschaft auf dem Boot sagen, sie waren erstaunlich, besonders für diejenigen von uns, die es schwer mit Seekrankheit hatten! Eine gute Wahl, um auf einer Reise Schildkröten und eine Vielzahl von Fischen im Krater zu sehen, es lohnt sich!

This was a very good experience! They served breakfast and lunch, the crew was very nice and helpful! I personally didn’t see a turtle but, just the scenery and all the amazing sights, it was still a blast!

It was so much fun! Unfortunately the coral is dying due to aerosol sunscreen so the colors are not so vivid but the experience was awesome! BURGERS ON A BOAT! They killed lunch and it was so so good! Crew were all so friendly and know how to make their guests laugh!

The crew and staff were exceptionally hospitable and knowledgeable. They took expert care of us and worked seamlessly as a team. Our favorite part was snorkeling with the turtles…including one silly turtle that was showing off for us! Mahalo!

I was so pleasantly surprised with how much I loved this tour. I was originally going to book a cheaper crater trip, but my mom talked me into this one and I decided to humor her. She made the right call. As some reviews say, in terms of the snorkeling content itself, Molokini Crater and Turtle Town are not necessarily much better than just snorkeling at some of Maui's beaches, but I don't think that's the point of these tours. The description is no joke -- they run this boat well under it's capacity which leaves plenty of space for everyone to spread out, relax and feel a sense of luxury. The provided breakfast, lunch (the crew did an excellent job grilling burgers and dogs to perfection), beverages and (at the end) open bar were a treat. Whoever was running the music was en pointe. The water slide was also surprisingly addicting and not underwhelming like I was expecting. Overall I think this is a great way to get boated around, check out Molokini Crater, and feel taken care of, and you can be as active or lazy with the two stops as you want. My only qualm was that they don't tell you to pack a wetsuit and then they try to sell you rentals. I lugged my wetsuit on this trip on the off-chance it might be useful, and the one time it would have been useful it was sitting in my suitcase back at the hotel and instead I paid extra to rent one. But with how well the rest of the experience was, it was hard to be too bothered. As with any tour on the water, it is weather dependent which is of course out of the crew's control. We were lucky and had great weather and underwater visibility and even saw some turtles pop their heads out on the way back to port (we did not see any at Turtle Town, which seems common per other reviews so I wasn't surprised. I still enjoyed snorkeling). Just remember that some of these factors are luck of the draw, but the crew does a great job of making the experience enjoyable regardless!

Highly recommend Pride of Maui! The crew was incredible, so welcoming, and knowledgeable. The crew was so genuine and truly wanted to ensure that everyone had an enjoyable experience. They do not pack their boats, and in fact limit it to 60 percent of their capacity, which is a major reason we chose Pride of Maui over other companies to begin with and it made our experience that much more enjoyable. The food and drinks were excellent (light breakfast, hot off the grill burgers for lunch, open bar after snorkeling, and homemade cookies at the end). The whole trip was very well organized, allowing us to not feel rushed and have plenty of time to snorkel and relax. Instructions and directions given to find the parking and check in location were very clear and helpful. Definitely worth spending the few extra dollars for Pride of Maui compared to other companies.

Had a great time on the boat! Saw plenty of colorful fish and the water was crystal clear. Food onboard was good as well. The tour was pretty friendly to non-swimmers - my mother couldn’t swim but still had a great time with the help of flotation devices

Was awesome! Molokini Crater was amazing. So many fish on the reef! Water is chilly even in warmer months so would recommend either a wetsuit top or bring $10 to rent one. Also, be sure to bring non-spray mineral sunscreen. Cant use spray in the boat to avoid slipping and mineral is for the reefs!

Do not book through Viator! Their prices are more than paying through the company itself and Viator lied about what’s included! Viator lists snorkel and snuba is included when it’s not. Snuba is an extra charge and it’s not cheap. I had called to ask BEFORE booking through viator and they guaranteed me that snuba was part of their price, IT IS NOT! Of course when on the tour and we found this out, it was too late and there was no service or time on the water to deal with this before paying an extra charge. Tour itself was great but don’t book through viator!

I can’t speak for the interpretation you may have from what you saw on Viator’s site, though I will say it seems pretty straight forward to me and the plethora of other guests who understand that there is an additional cost to experience SNUBA diving during our snorkeling excursion. Viator is a reputable company which does not deliberately mislead their customers. Perhaps the person you talked to or you were confused about the additional cost of SNUBA. Or, it may have just been a mistake. After a decade of doing business with Viator, II know they are a reputable company.

So, the crew was amazing! However, the crater was somewhat underwhelming. Only really a small area where you can venture and the trade winds were pretty insane causing lots of current and people being sick! Maybe if the seas are calmer it would have been 5 stars. Also because of the high trade winds we were limited to only Molokini crater and did not even get to travel to Turtle Town. The next day I went to the Kapalua trail where there is a beach that had just as beautiful coral, fish, and turtles I swam with. So take it as you will, it is definitely an experience worth checking out, but you can also see the same and more on a car ride from anywhere on the island.

Outstanding second time with Pride of Maui. We came back to Maui with friends and wanted to give them a good snorkel experience. Great trip, hot food for lunch and pleasant helpful staff.

We had a great time snorkeling in Molokini crater aboard Pride of Maui. The crew was so friendly and helpful. All food and drinks provided were great. All equipment was also provided. We felt safe and comfortable. I really enjoyed this. Bring cash for tips/extra purchases like snorkeling top for warmth. They accept Venmo too.
