Ich habe mich versehentlich für die Tour auf Deutsch angemeldet. Zum Glück für mich gab es zwei tolle Leute, die lernten, wie man die Tour gibt, und Englisch sprachen, damit ich es verstehen konnte. So viele Informationen und Verkostungen. Ich kann diese Tour wirklich empfehlen, stellen Sie nur sicher, dass Sie sich für die richtige Sprache anmelden! !

Wir hatten Stephanie Anne als unsere Führerin, die nett und kompetent war, aber die Tour war enttäuscht von der schlechten Auswahl an Einkehrmöglichkeiten. Wir hatten weiße Würste (möglicherweise die schlechteste aller bayerischen Würste, die Sie haben könnten) und ich denke, sie hätten uns besser eine kleine Auswahl an Würsten geschenkt, nicht nur eine Sorte. Es folgte eine sehr bizarre Auswahl an exotischen Früchten aus Fernost - definitiv nicht das, was ich von einer bayerischen Food-Tour gewollt oder erwartet hatte. Als nächstes folgte ein biologischer / homöopathischer Essensstopp, was wiederum für München oder Bayern nicht typisch war. Mein Rat für die Tour wäre eine bessere Auswahl an Würstchen, etwas Eisbein oder Ähnliches, vielleicht ein Gulasch und etwas Apfelstrudel. Wenn Sie ein wahrer Feinschmecker sind, wird Sie dies als Tour leider sehr im Stich lassen

A good long tour through the Viktualienmarkt with lots of interesting information about the history of Munich, its markets and food. The food that we got to sample was really good, and the quantities were fantastic, we didn't need lunch afterwards. Ulrich, the tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. It would have been nice to have a bit more explanation why we were sampling the foods we did. But overall an enjoyable afternoon out and would recommend to anyone looking for something to do in Munich.

Coby was a very nice young man who gave us a nice introduction to the history of Munich an then took us through the VIktualienmarkt sampling a variety of Bavarian dishes. Really enjoyed this tour. We have down a food walking tour before and feel it is the a great way to connect with the culture.

We did have to cut our experience a little short due to another obligation, but this tour was disappointing. The guide was friendly, but all we did was walk around the outdoor market in Munich and sample a few products. There was no opportunity to sit down and the samples were similar to what you would expect from a typical trip to Costco. Given the cost, we had expected more.

The tour was really good. It was nice to do it during Oktoberfest. There was a variety of food that was tried and that gave a good sampling. Would have liked more hot meat options and things like spaetzle or dumplings. A good balance of history and current information on the food scene. The company preferred a paper copy of the voucher but the tour specified that an electronic version was acceptable so that caused a bit of anxiety at the beginning.

This was an excellent tour. Food choices were great. However, the guide was a little unorganized in that she did not choose the food choices in a logical order. For instance, she picked up the meat and cheese platter BEFORE getting the bread. In addition, the last stop was a cheese tasting that came AFTER the dessert tasting. I think a little more thought should have gone into the order process. We did a similar tour in Paris and that was done perfectly, absolutely NO complaints.

My daughters and I enjoyed this tour of the food market we got to taste interesting, tasty Bavarian food. The Viktualienmarkt is a beautiful, fun place to spend a few hours, especially on the gloriously sunny day when we were there. We loved the fact that the fountains offer fresh, clean, drinking water, as long as they're not marked otherwise--makes the heart of Munich feel very welcoming. And we really liked our tour guide. But overall the tour itself could have been so much better. I went on a Paris By Mouth food tour in Saint-Germaine, and it was so well organized--the tour guide had everything planned ahead of time, she took our preferences and dietary restrictions into account, but she went to each market stall and store knowing exactly what she wanted us to taste--and she explained why, the history of each store, the significance of each food she shared with us. And she carried a little tray and a knife and cut macarons and croissants into pieces so everyone one on the tour got a taste. By contrast, the Munich tour was haphazard. We would walk into a store and our guide said, what would you like? We had no idea--that's why we were on the tour, of course! We could have used more guidance--pun intended. And we ended up wasting a lot of food because he didn't come prepared with the little tray and knife to cut items into bite-sized samples. For example, he encouraged us to get a pickle from one vendor, but we couldn't each eat a whole pickle, certainly not in the time before we moved onto the next vendor at the market. So, enjoyable but doesn't live up to its potential. I recommend the organizers of the tour take a tour with Paris by Mouth!

Our party of 9 had a great time with Corby at the Market! Not only was the food DELICIOUS, the sites and the sounds and the people were DELIGHTFUL! We found the vendors friendly and proud to share their story and product history. We particularly enjoyed our time with the Exotic Fruit vendor. He introduced us to yummy things with a smile and made it an adventure to try something new. This tour was well worth it!

Fifth time to Munich, so I know about the food in the restaurants, but this was neat to experience food the way locals do. I liked being able to asked the guide about their daily food culture and see that this market is a common shopping place for locals. The tour was a little slow as the market was VERY crowded. It was a Saturday during the summer and the weather was good so I attribute it to that, but we still had a good experience. Tried local meats cold cuts essentially, bread, exotic fruits, and more. I did a similar tour in Greece and that one felt like there was more culturally specific food and it was much more in depth and longer. This was a good high level breakdown of Bavarian Food and Culture. Plus the market is really a neat place to experience.
