Dieser ganztägige Ausflug beginnt mit der Abholung und Begrüßung durch Ihren Reiseleiter am Marienplatz, dem Hauptplatz im Zentrum von München. Nach dem Einstieg in einen Zug ist etwa eine 20-minütige Fahrt nach Norden zum Konzentrationslager Dachau.

Das KZ Dachau war das erste Konzentrationslager der Nazis in Deutschland während des Holocausts. Es diente als Modell für alle anderen Lager, die darauf folgten. Sehen Sie die Fotos, Dokumente, rekonstruierte Zellenblocks, das Krematorium, die Hauptverwaltung und vieles mehr auf einer Tour durch das Lager und Museum.

Finden Sie weniger bekannte Fakten über die bekannten Nazis heraus, die mit diesem Ort verbunden sind, wie Heinrich Himmler, der Wachmann, der das Lager gründete. Und hören Sie die herzzerreißende Geschichten von einigen der 200.000 Gefangenen in Dachau – Kommunisten, deutsche Dissidenten, Schwule, Zeugen Jehovas, sowie von Juden und polnischen Männer und Frauen. Nach einem Rundgang durch die Stätte kehren Sie mit dem Reiseleiter zum Bahnhof zurück für die Fahrt nach München. Nach einer Pause zum Mittagessen (auf eigene Kosten) machen Sie eine Tour zum Thema Drittes Reich durch die Stadt. Thanks for the review Gerald. I agree, the images we see at Dachau are confirmation of the barbarity of the regime. Of course always bearing in mind that such atrocities historically have never been exclusively the domain of one political creed. Dachau shows us the potential of mans cruelty to man irrespective of the political orientation of the perpetrators.

We had some train delays on the day but a contingency plan makes sure that everything runs smoothly despite that. Alun was an outstanding guide! The trip to Dachau, though poignant and important for everyone in the world to experience, is an incredibly weighty topic and can have quite an emotional impact. Alun navigates the significance of the experience with skill and thoughtfulness. We also joined Alun for the afternoon part of the tour to see a bit more into some of the makings of what lead up to the concentration camps and their atrocities. This walking tour was an interesting addition and again, Alun navigated it with thoughtfully and with great insight, guiding us through the streets of Munich pointing out sites of historical significance and telling us stories of their meaning. I 100% recommend Alun and this tour to Dachau to absolutely anyone and everyone. And those with a particluar interest in WWII history will enjoy the 2nd half of the tour walking the streets of Munich. Thank you, Alun, for a wonderful experience!

As someone who traveled to Europe specifically to gain more knowledge about WWII, I cannot say enough good things about this tour and its guide. Alun was extremly engaging in one-on-one conversations and posed a great deal of insight about Dachau and the rise of the Third Reich. During the Dachau portion of the tour, Alun's descriptive narrative made it easy to visualize what prisoner life and conditions were like. He gave an hour of free time to explore the camp and visit the memorials at tour goers own pace which added more meaning to the visit. Walking through Munich on the Third Reich portion of the tour, Alun possessed an indepth perspective about Hitler's personal life to include day-to-day activities, his relationship with his inner circle, and his political development in Munich. Alun conveyed facts with a particular familiarity of the chain events that lead Hitler to become Chancellor of Germany in a concise and easy to understand manner that is second to none. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in learning more about WWII or if they're interested in history in general. I will definitely be going on Alun's other tours when I visit Europe again in the future. --David
