Das erwartet Sie

Begeben Sie sich zum Unterrichtszeitpunkt zu Ihrem gewählten Ort. Diese Surfschule wurde von Legende Hans Hedermann gegründet und lehrt seit Jahren Surfen. Diese 2-stündigen Lektionen sind sowohl an der Nordküste als auch in Waikiki um 9 Uhr, 12 Uhr und 15 Uhr verfügbar. Sie treffen Ihren professionellen Instruktor und Ihre kleine Gruppe von 4 oder weniger Personen mit einem ähnlichen Könnensniveau. Anschließend erhalten Sie ein Surfbrett und Riffschuhe (optional).

Verschaffen Sie sich einen Überblick über die Sicherheit und nehmen Sie an einer Diskussion über Surf-Etikette teil. Üben Sie dann etwa 20 Minuten auf Ihrem Board, bevor Sie in die Surfpause gehen. Lernen Sie die Paddeltechnik, wie man sich dreht, aufsteht und wie man sich um die Wellen bewegt. Ihr Ausbilder ist die ganze Zeit in Ihrer Nähe, um sicherzustellen, dass Sie ausreichend Anleitung erhalten und sich wohl fühlen.

Nach 2 Stunden fahren Sie zurück ans Ufer.

Bad communication

Didn't get to actually experience this booking. We were off to the meeting point when we got a call at about 1045 asking where we were. Supposedly the meeting time was 1030. We were told we would be no shows. We continue on anyways. Plan to park at least a 10 minute walk away from the building as parking is hard to find. We ended up showing up 10 min late anyways because of the parking. We get to the Hans Hedemann Surf shop and walk up to the front. We stand there for a second with no acknowledgement front the lady at the desk. We explain the situation and she impatiently says, "it's right there, you aren't looking hard enough". She argues that it is in the confirmation email. She scrolls through the email for a minute on my phone and opens up the PDF file that is attached. All to find later that the start time STILL states 11:00 in the pdf file. I recommend to her to update the start time to 1030 so there is no confusion and she states that they cannot edit anything on the website. She states that" this isn't the first time that this has happened to people before". If this isn't the first time why don't they just update their listing? The most offensive part was that it looked like she believed we were idiots for not searching around hard enough for the part about the meet up time. And the fact that she did not want to find a way to update the start time in the emails sent out to the booking customers. No refund of course since we were "no shows". It would have been nice to have been offered to take someone else's last minute spot if they had any or ANY kind of remedy at all. I finally found later after searching for about 20 min that on the original booking site it says to come early. No where after you book does it say 1030. You would have had to go back to the original viator posting.

My family and I really enjoyed the surf lessons. It was a short walk to the shore from the meeting location and after a brief lesson on the shore we were into the water. We all managed to get up a few times during our time in the water, but it sure was a workout for the arms!

Was a little worried going to a group lesson by myself, but the instructors, Hoku and Gavin, were very welcoming and fantastic teachers for a newbie like me. Would definitely recommend even if you're solo. The check-in process was also easy.

It was so much fun! It was a little hard for me at first but then I got much better. Once you get used to the motions it’s a littler easier. The boards they gave us were long and wide so it was tiring to paddle after I finished riding the wave and paddles back to my instructor. My instructor was Seth and he was very nice and explained everything very clear.
