A Tour You Will Not Forget

Of all the tours we took during our stay in Palm Springs this was by far the most memorable and exhilarating of them all. We have our guide, Ben, to thank for that. He was a living breathing wealth of knowledge on everything in and around the canyon which provided us a very complete picture of the past, present and future of the Canyon Desert. Ben let us "do our thing" while insuring our safety. This ride really makes you appreciate the beauty and awesomeness of nature and how fortunate we were to soak it all in.

Colin was great! He explained the geology about the San Andreas fault and surrounding areas. One of my favorite parts was getting off the bike to actually touch the rock formations of the fault. Was surprised at how soft the rock was- we were able to break off pieces! Thanks for a great experience.

Fun way to start your day!

We had a lovely time and had a chance to see Box Canyon in a relaxing and slightly active way. It's not a difficult ride, with gravity doing the work most of the time :), but it was still a lot of fun! Tom our guide was great and provided a lot of interesting info throughout. We also got to taste the famous date shake from Sheild's! Thanks for the great morning!

Ben was an excellent tour guide. On the drive to the canyon, he gave us a great explanation of the mountains and how it all developed over time. Once at the canyon, we biked and it was absolutely beautiful. We stopped several times for pictures and additional information. I would recommend this to everyone who visits Palm Springs!

We are 3 women friends who chose this excursion and are so happy that we did. Our guide, Ben, was excellent. Informative, thorough and patient he answered all our questions and showed us many points of interest. For those of you who are concerned about the length of the ride, etc., rest assured it's so easy. Almost all of it downhill, you barely have to pedal. We are all in our 60's and managed really well. Bikes and helmets are fitted to each individual. The road traveled is mostly empty of traffic and smooth. The surrounding area is magnificent as only mother nature can be. You determine when, where, how often you stop. Water and snacks are provided. Bring a camera or phone. You'll never run out of things to photograph. Starting early meant we avoided the major heat of the day. There was always a comfortable breeze as well. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip. Recommend it highly!!

Informative, safe tour with awesome guide

Jeff, our guide, ensured that we had a very safe, fun, and informative ride. We went 18 miles, but it was mostly downhill with small flat sections. I would highly recommend this for a tour. We learned a lot about the geography of the area. At the end, we were treated to a date shake. I’m a very fussy eater and don’t like dates. It was an amazing treat. Great tour!

Captain Ron was fabulous, full of history & information. The ride through the canyon was beautiful. We rode at our pace, being met along the ride with plenty of water & snacks. I highly recommend this tour! Well done!

Our guide, Ron, made this trip! He was so engaging, so knowlegable about the area and taught us so much. The bikes were excellent. He had plenty of water for us, which was great given how dry and warm it was!

Excellent experience from pick up to drop off. The size of the group was perfect; 6. Ben is very personable as well as very knowledgeable about the geography and geology of the area. The bikes were in good condition, the road too! We had a beautiful weather day; sunny, not too hot . The ride itself is easy, a little work against the wind, many places to coast downhill. I recommend this activity for a anyone who would like to experience this part of the desert up close.

A “must do” experience

This excursion will be enjoyed by almost anyone! Our guide, Joe was terrific- he outfitted my 89 year old father with a pedal assist bike, and he was able to complete the bike trip with no problems. The views were amazing - as we traversed the fault lines, witnessing giant plates of rock pushing upward out of the soil, we stopped often for photos! This is a must do if you are in the area.
