Regarding the earphones, we always make sure that we have extra radios and earphones in case of any problems. On the day of your visit a family of 6 that were also booked on your tour contacted us to say that they were not coming, so we adjusted our order accordingly. Four of them then did turn up at the beginning of the tour, and so we found ourselves short of 2 headsets. The guide did his best to ensure that everyone was taken care of, one family agreed to share and another guest was happy to do without and stay close to the guide during the tour. This was exceptional and should not normally happen on our tours.
We don't use flags on our tours because we keep our groups small to ensure the quality of our visits and the comfort of our guests and so that all the guests can interact with the guide during the tour. If ever you find the guide walking too fast please don't hesitate to tell them, they will be more than happy to slow down for you.
In terms of the guide, all our guides are professionals. Although of course everyone has to start somewhere, they study extensively and follow other guides before leading a tour themselves. The guide on the day of your tour is experienced with this tour and gets excellent reviews, indeed the review left directly under your review (also written on April 20th) is for the same guide on the same tour that you were on. We are very sorry that you did not feel the same way about him as the other guests seem to, and we do hope that we will have the opportunity to welcome you back on other tours in Paris.
