Wir kamen spät in Paris an und unser Führer war zuvorkommend. Er war sehr nett und ein toller Gesprächspartner. Dies war jedoch ein sehr unorganisierter Prozess. Ich hatte damit gerechnet, geführt zu werden und eine Reiseroute zu haben, aber stattdessen verbrachten wir ziemlich viel Zeit damit, zu entscheiden, wohin wir gehen sollten. Es war überwältigend.

Unser Führer, Zoltan, war hervorragend! Wir liebten die Verkostungen auf dem Markt und er half uns bei der Auswahl lokaler / regionaler Gerichte für ein echtes französisches Verkostungserlebnis. Er hat uns sogar geholfen, meinem Mann zu seinem Geburtstag anzustoßen und zu singen! Sein Reisehintergrund ist umfangreich und wir haben es genossen, Details über gemeinsame Standorte auszutauschen. Sein Verständnis für mehrere Sprachen ist unglaublich! Wir würden auf jeden Fall Zoltan bitten, wieder unser Führer zu sein!

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit, als wir mit Nella das Essen von Paris entdeckten. Wir gingen mit vollen Bäuchen und mehr Pariser Essenskenntnissen. Wir haben es genossen, auf dem Markt zu essen, wo wir uns als Touristen sonst nicht für Bestellungen gerüstet gefühlt hätten. Alles, was wir gegessen haben, war köstlich!

Wir haben alles an dieser Tour geliebt. Wir probierten eine Vielzahl von Speisen, sowohl herzhaft als auch süß! Die Größe der Verkostungen war perfekt. Wir verließen die Tour voll, aber nicht vollgestopft, was perfekt war. Bei dieser Tour ging es sowohl um das Essen als auch um die Geschichte der Nachbarschaften. Kann diese Tour allen Feinschmeckern wärmstens empfehlen!

Wirklich tolle Tour. Nella war sehr kompetent. Großartig, um die Tour in einer weniger bekannten Gegend von Paris auch auf dem Markt fruchtbar zu machen, was fantastisch war. Wir probierten Suchette, Baguette, Käse, Pastete, Wurst, Austern. Quiche, Crêpe, Wein und Kaffee. Wir haben alle Verkostungen sehr genossen und auch wirklich gute Tipps für Restaurants, von denen wir eines an diesem Abend besucht haben. Fantastisch.

We loved our food tour with Gelsomina- it was like meeting an old & a new friend! She catered the tour around our likes and dislikes and gave us a feel of what it’s like to live and eat as the locals do. We learned so much about not only food but about French culture- a great first tour if you are new to Paris!

Great tour, Maria our guide, was wonderful. Only problem, the meeting place was wrong on my confirmation, it took phone calls and text to finally find the guide who waited for us. Tour was great, food great, wine great, all in all a great afternoon.

The person who showed up was Gerard, not Jennifer. He was a very nice guy but this adventure needs a lot of work and we definitely did not get our money's worth. We paid 257US for 3 people and I expected this would be a tour of local restaurants and shops where we would try different foods and drinks that were their specialties. Instead we went to a market which was mostly closed for a holiday. We got a baguette, some fruits, sausages and cheeses. It was the kind of picnic I had with friends when I backpacked through Paris years ago. I expected much more. We couldn't wash the fruits because there was no water the grapes had a spider nest in them so we didn't eat them. Dessert was middle eastern pastries that were covered with bees or wasps. We left the food with Gerard because we had no place to refrigerate. This was very disappointing compared to foodie adventures we booked through other vendors. There were not 10 tastings and no place to eat. We ended up eating our picnic at a local café, but quite frankly we could have done this on our own and for a fraction of the price.

We enjoyed our food tour of Paris because it introduced us to foods that we would not have experienced otherwise. Our guide, Zoltan, was very accommodating. Although he provided the overall plan, he asked us what cheeses, tapinades, meats, etc. that we would prefer. He went at our pace and his English was excellent. I highly recommend Zoltan.

Wish we planned our day better... we had to cut it short... but the areas we went to and the food we experienced was awesome!! Seeing how many varieties and picking up some pate and cheese at one place, tasting wine, or in our case, beer!! The beer made it home in our suitcase!! The desserts were light and tasty. We chose oysters over charcuterie but I think we would've had both if we had time. We are so planning to return and try this properly!!

Unfortunately our private tour did not go well. Our guide was very nice young man, but he was not a foodie or even enjoy much food. He was a vegan and an architecht, so very limited on food tasting guidance. We also wanted the Marais area, rather than Square Armand Trousseau. We made most of it, but no really 10 tastings. Select another vendor. I could go on and on, but will stop. Trying to get some refund. Pw

This was a disappointment. Zoltan, our guide, was very nice and generous but the tour was mediocre and very very expensive! Usually these tours are with groups of people that make it more interesting but the private thing is less interesting and again very expensive for what it was.

While our tour got off to a rocky start, more on that later, this was an excellent food tour. There were so many tastings that we didn't even have dinner that night. And Paris is full of amazing food. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. It was also just a small tour of my 4 friends and I. The 'rocky start' I referred to earlier was that she was almost an hour late. If you do this tour, please make sure someone in your group can make calls in France. We had trouble finding our guide, even when she did eventually show up. Also there was a mix-up with the times, but no one ever told me. That said, it was fixed, and I believe we even got a partial refund due to the inconvenience.

This was an amazing experience! Zoltan, our guide, was knowledgeable about food and other subjects. He gave us great insights about life in Paris. He explained a lot about the different types of foods, so we could make a good choice of what we wanted to try. Zoltan answered all our questions and was even nice enough, after the tour, to help us with our travel cards which were demagnetized , by taking us to where he knew there was a kiosk so we could get them exchanged. We had plenty of food left over, that we took it back to our apartment. It was an outstanding experience, which I highly recommend.

The 6 of us did not like this tour much. Our tour guide was not very informative and I did not like the fact that food was being paid for in our presence. This should have been done in advance. Also at the end we were still hungry and at $70 each that should not have been the case.

This was the very best Food and history tour that I have ever booked. Private, so it catered to our interests and questions. Maria was the most knowledgeable Tour Guide. Personable and obviously welcomed by all of our host stops. From the Boulangerie to the Market to the oysters, wine and charcuterie and cheese boards, the tour built a story of the French food experience, complete with customs and history. Finishing with Crepes and the Mellier Ouvrier de France awarded Chocolatier ended the tour. We were sad it was over. Taking the tour at night did not take away from the experience. I wish that we had taken it much earlier in our trip since it imparted so much new knowledge that would have added to our overall Paris experience.
