Extremely overpriced, especially considering the average salaries in the region.
They charge $90 USD per person to visit 1 of the 5 caves, yet the van that takes you from the reception to the caves on a dirt road, which carries up to 12 people (= $1080) has a sign asking for tips. The sign says their only income comes from tips since they don't get paid by the company.
The company is so greedy that they do not allow you to enter with a camera, and they don't let you take pictures or video, but they will take photos of you and charge $25 for ONE print, or $180 for the package of photos they shot. They tell you you can't take your camera with you because you need to have your hands free for safety (which is absolutely true, and I get it), however, they will not allow you to take your GoPro camera strapped to your chest and have it continuously shooting, or attached to your helmet (so you don't have to use your hands at all during the tour), which makes you wonder about their true intentions on not allowing you to take your camera with you even when you don't have to hold it with your hands.
Lunch was served and it was OK, but the street food we tried in Tulum was way better. Variety is VERY limited for the food as well as for the drinks. Really, for the $90/pp you pay, lunch would have cost no more than $5-8 in Tulum. It seems like a highly profitable business to me, yet they are not paying their drivers?
That being said, our tour guide was very nice. However, despite you selecting your language, they mix people from different languages to optimize their profits so, half of the time during the tour I had to listen to the same explanation in a different language since the guide had to explain everything twice for everyone in the group to understand. Again, another sign of the greediness of the company to build profit, instead of creating the best experience for this expensive activity.
Also, be mindful that when you sign the documents upon arrival, you are giving them the right to use your pictures as promotional/marketing material. So, smile because you may be appearing anywhere on the web.
I will definitely not support them when I go back to the area unless they change their operating model.
