Pedro war ein toller Führer - sehr sachkundig und nichts war zu viel Mühe. Wir wurden mit einer Reihe von Verkostungen verwöhnt und sehr gut ernährt … wer hätte gedacht, dass Oliven und Honig zusammen funktionieren! !

Andre war ein wunderbarer Führer! Die Erfahrung war jeden Cent wert - die Aussicht auf dem Weg zum und vom Douro ist fantastisch, und die Tour bietet so viele verschiedene und einzigartige Erlebnisse, zuerst in einem familiengeführten Weinberg, dann eine Bootsfahrt auf dem Douro, ein fantastisches Mittagessen in einem Kleinstadt, beendet mit weiteren Verkostungen in einem Herrenhaus. Andr war der tollste und persönlichste Führer für unsere Reise. Wir haben im November an einem kalten und regnerischen Tag das Douro-Tal bereist und hätten uns keine bessere Erfahrung wünschen können! Die Tour selbst beinhaltete einige erstaunliche Verkostungen einer Vielzahl verschiedener Weine, Häfen, Apertifs und Moscatos und das Mittagessen einige der besten Speisen, die wir während unserer Reise in Portugal probiert haben. Andr versorgte uns mit so vielen detaillierten Informationen über die Geschichte, Kultur und Menschen nicht nur des Douro-Gebiets, sondern auch Portugals. Er war aufmerksam und rücksichtsvoll und sorgte dafür, dass sich der Tag so unglaublich intim und persönlich anfühlte - diese Tour hat sich gelohnt und ich würde sie jedem empfehlen, der eine Weintour im Douro River Valley in Betracht zieht. Die Gelegenheit, private Verkostungen zu haben und ein traditionelles, lokales Essen zu genießen, das in einem kleinen Restaurant in Familienbesitz zubereitet wurde, war weitaus besser als die kürzeren Touren, die eher kommerzieller Natur sind. Wenn Sie diese Reise in Betracht ziehen, tun Sie es BITTE und machen Sie sich keine Sorgen über das Wetter - wenn es den ganzen Tag regnet, werden Sie immer noch schöne Aussichten sehen und die erstaunlichsten Weine erleben.

Was kann besser sein als eine fabelhafte Landschaft, das Douro-Tal und der Fluss sind wirklich schön, gutes Essen und viele verschiedene Weine. Wenn Sie auch unseren wundervollen Fahrer und Guide Andre hinzufügen, haben Sie den perfekten Tag. Die Tour hat viel reingepackt, aber man fühlte sich nie gehetzt und was Andre nicht über das Tal wusste, war nicht wirklich wissenswert. Wir alle haben den Tag genossen und haben schöne Erinnerungen. Wir alle drei können diese Tour wärmstens empfehlen.

Andre war ein großartiger Führer mit umfassenden Kenntnissen der Region. Wir liebten unseren Tag, als wir das Douro-Tal bereisten und hörten, wie Portwein hergestellt wird. Abholung und Rückgabe im Hotel war großartig. Die Straßen sind etwas knifflig (eng und kurvenreich), also war ich froh, dass wir nicht versuchten, alleine zu navigieren. So viel über die Gegend gelernt!

Wir hatten unseren Guide Nuno an diesem Tag ganz für uns und wir haben einen super lustigen und informativen Tag. Seine Begeisterung für seine Arbeit und seine Liebe zu seinem Land ist charmant. Er hat ein sehr tiefes Wissen über die Geschichte, Kultur und Geographie der Region. Wir hatten einige unglaubliche Ausblicke auf das Gebiet von oben, die den Höhepunkt des Tages darstellten. Er suchte sich ein gutes Weingut aus und die Verkostung war lustig und nicht zu lang. Das Mittagessen war wirklich gut und wir genossen seine Gesellschaft dort im Gegensatz zu vielen Führern, die Sie einfach verlassen und später zurückkehren. Ich fand die einstündige Flusskreuzfahrt in Ordnung, aber eine andere Sicht auf das Gebiet war nicht sehr interessant. im Vergleich zu der Zeit, die wir mit unserem Führer verbracht haben. Vielen Dank, Nuno, für all die Mühen, die Sie unternommen haben!

We had a wonderful day with our guide Paulo. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and had a great relationship with all of the folks we met along the tour. I highly recommend Paulo. The Douro Valley is beautiful and full of great wineries and wonderful people. We really enjoyed our lunch in a tiny village, boat ride up the river, wine tastings and most of all interacting with the locals. This is a very special place that I highly recommend.

Best Tour of Our Entire Portugal Trip

Pascal was a fantastic guide that knew a ton about the Douro Valley. This tour was our favorite of our entire Portugal trip. It is not a typical “wine tour” because it was focused on tasting wine and experiencing the Douro Valley rather than hearing the typical “how wine is made”. We started the day at a local bar to have some local port wine and homemade olive oil that was delicious. We then went to a winery that had fantastic table wine and fortified wine. From there we went on the classic Douro boat trip. Lunch was the coolest part of the experience. We ate a great local meal with local wine in a small spot in a beautiful village. We ended the day with a special tawny port at another winery with a beautiful view. We would highly recommend this trip to anyone looking to experience Douro and be sure to ask for Pascal.

For one we were picked up At our hotel and we’ve come to find out in some cities it’s hard to find the location a tour begins from. We had a fabulous tour guide named Raquel and she was a world of information about the Douro valley, the wines, how they’re made, and so many other insights to the area and it’s history. We did a one hour boat ride, and we had a delicious lunch in a charming village of only 150 residents. Along the way we visited a lovely small winery that dates back to 1792 for tastings of olive oil, wines and delicious port wine. Of course we bought some!! After all this we visited a beautiful old winery and had a typical Portuguese cocktail of tawny port, tonic and lemon, yummy and so refreshing. We couldn’t ask for a better day and a more wonderful guide.
