Das erwartet Sie

Treffen Sie einen Fahrer in Ihrem zentral gelegenen Hotel. Bushaltestelle, falls Ihr Hotel nicht auf der Abholliste steht; oder im Hafen von Reykjavík, dann steigen Sie in einen klimatisierten Kleinbus für die Fahrt zur Halbinsel Reykjanes. Die erste Station des Tages ist der Kleifarvatn-See, der eine Risszone überragt und vollständig aus dem Untergrund gespeist wird. Danach geht es weiter nach Graenavatn, einem kleinen See in einem Vulkankrater mit leuchtendem türkisfarbenem Wasser.

 Fahren Sie weiter zu den bunten Hügeln von Krysuvik, wo Sie Ihre Beine bei einem Spaziergang zwischen den sprudelnden heißen Quellen ausstrecken können. Machen Sie in der Hafenstadt Grindavik eine Pause für das Mittagessen - Sie können Ihr eigenes mitbringen oder ein Mittagessen bei der Ankunft kaufen - und dann zu den geothermischen Schlammbecken von Gunnuhver gehen, wo Sie die faszinierende Geistergeschichte des Spots hören können.

Halten Sie nach Vögeln an diesem Küstenabschnitt Ausschau und besuchen Sie Reykjanesviti, den ältesten Leuchtturm Islands. Das letzte Highlight der Tour ist die Überquerung der Brücke zwischen den Kontinenten zwischen den beiden tektonischen Platten Islands.

Geologische Erlebnistour auf die Halbinsel Reykjanes

Wunderschöne und sehr informative Fahrt zu den geologischen Highlights der Halbinsel Reykjanes. Sehr angenehm war es, in einer Kleingruppe (7 Personen) unterwegs zu sein. Unser Guide Ragnar war überaus freundlich und zuvorkommend und hat viel Interessantes über Islands Geschichte und Kultur erzählt. Wir hatten überall ausreichend Zeit, die Sehenswürdigkeiten selbst zu erkunden, was sehr angenehm war. Der Stop zur Mittagspause im Restaurant Salthusid in Grindavik war auch sehr gut. Wir waren insgesamt sehr zufrieden und können diese Tour absolut weiterempfehlen.

Die Reiseleiterin war ausgezeichnet und es war eine großartige Gegend zum Erkunden. Dies sollte jedoch mehr angeboten werden, da die Abgabe am Flughafen ein netter Bonus ist.

Der Führer wusste sooo viele Dinge. Wir mussten eine Tour von einem Einheimischen machen. Wir haben mehr über die Geschichte Islands und Reykjaviks und die unterschiedlichen Traditionen und Glaubensrichtungen erfahren. Die Orte, die aufgenommen wurden, waren nicht so überfüllt und nicht so touristisch.

Es war eine gute Möglichkeit, vor unserem Flug an einer anderen Aktivität teilzunehmen und den Transport zum Flughafen zu garantieren. Ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob es nur am schlechten Wetter liegt, aber wir gingen schnell durch die Orte und der gesamte Ausflug war etwa eine Stunde kürzer als erwartet.

Diese Tour war sehr gut, von der pünktlichen Abholung bis zur Abgabe am vorher festgelegten Ziel. Die Route war so landschaftlich reizvoll und faszinierend, und das Wissen unseres schottischen Fahrers Ian über die Gegend war interessant und sehr informativ über die lokalen Traditionen, die Geologie und die Geschichte der Insel und des Gebiets. Ich kann diese Tour nur empfehlen, da sie nicht so touristisch ist und nur wenige Leute da waren. Mein einziger Kritikpunkt wäre, dass der Reiseleiter bei jedem Stopp eine zulässige Zeitspanne als klare Richtlinie angibt, damit die Passagiere wissen, wie lange sie zum Mittagessen haben oder einen bestimmten Bereich besichtigen können.

This tour was one of the most interesting, thorough tours I have ever been on. Gummi, our tour guide took us all over the peninsula and was full of information and took us to out-of-the-way sites that other tour companies would not have visited. We even had a sit-down lunch with Gummi at a nice casual restaurant. Highly recommend this tour!

Do yourself a favor and book this trip! It was amazing and very well organized. Andres (our guide) was very professional, knowledgeable, funny and communicative. He also offered to send us hi own pics via email. We have seen many amazing places and stopped at the small port cafe to eat an amazing lobster soup! The Gateway to Iceland is one of the two the best travel companies we used in Iceland. We will definitely use their services in the future when we will be back to the land of fire and ice! Thank you a lot!
Great tour, off the beaten track

This tour takes you into an area that's not as well known as others. We visited in November when the mountains were fully covered in snow. It was so beautiful. Our guide Trond was great, timed it perfectly to see some sheep being brought in from the land for the winter.

I didn’t have enough time with other tours as my flight was at 5pm back to Canada - the Reykjanes tour was just perfect - a relatively quiet region from the bulk of the tourists but filled with many hidden gems. The drop off at the airport timed after the tour finished was a cherry on top.

Brilliant trip and our guide, Bjorn, was very informative and managed to stop at 2-3 unplanned places. Nice small group on the mini bus tour which I would highly recommend versus travelling in a larger coach. Thoroughly enjoyed the day, and whilst there were some places we enjoyed more than others, overall it was a great day out. The weather was glorious and I think this perhaps helped with the enjoyment. Only downside was that we didnt receive a confirmation prior to departure and the pass in my wallet app only gave limited information about the trip.

The tour was amazing! We had a small tour group 10 people so it was very personalized. Bjorn was a great tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and timed our stops perfectly as to avoid the big tour groups. My girlfriend and I did this tour on our last day in Iceland. We were staying in Reykajavik and were looking for a way to do some sightseeing on our way back to the airport. This tour did not disappoint. Our trip was okay, The sites were amazing, but the tour guide wasn't as informative as we had experienced on previous tours. He told unusual stories and had a conversation with one member of our tour. We didn't get much information about the landscape, or the history of the towns or sites seen. Also, we made a quick stop at a gas station for lunch, not what we expected. He was pressed to get one of the tourists to the Blue Lagoon at her 2:00 reservation . We were advised by the tour company to book our reservation at the Blue Lagoon after 3:00 so we could take advantage of the full tour. We then had to wait almost 2 hours at the Blue Lagoon because we got there earlier than we were told. Also, we were staying at an AirBnb they didn't pick us up at our address we had to walk to meet the tour at a hotel. The other tours we took picked us up at our door. The tour was not worth the price.

Circuit intéressant avec un petit groupe. Le guide donne des informations lorsqu'il conduit le mini-bus, mais nous laisse faire les visites seuls sans nous accompagner. Lors de notre tour, nous n'avons eu aucun arrêt pour le déjeuner, car le guide avait oublié de réserver nos places dans un restaurant et aucun endroit ne pouvait recevoir notre petit groupe.

Thank you for your review of the Reykjanes Geopark tour, we appreciate all comments from our guests and strive to make improvements or act on suggestions when appropriate. We're glad you found the tour interesting and by focusing on small groups only we feel we can provide a much more personal service. Sorry you felt you were left on your own when the guide made stops along the route. Our guides are very flexible and provide lots of interesting facts and stories about the area. We find that guests often like to explore scheduled stops on their own and we want people to feel relaxed with us. Of course the guide is there to provide assistance and point out interesting places and I'm sorry this didn't happen on this occasion, this is not a regular occurrence, our guides are very attentive. Regarding lunch, we are sorry you missed lunch and for any inconvenience. This was a unique situation that we have never experienced before. Due to a large cruise ship there was an excessive amount of people visiting the area on that particular day and the regular places we have stopped at for lunch were full. This has highlighted the need for us to check more thoroughly the schedule for any visiting cruise ships to the area and make any necessary arrangements. We are proud of the service our guides provide and frequently receive outstanding reviews and comments. This was a rare occurrence and we are sorry for the oversights on this occasion.

Tour annulé la veille suite aux mauvaises conditions météo. Nous avons demandé s il était possible de décaler sur un autre jour de la semaine et n avons jamais eu de réponse. Nous attendons notre remboursement.

Hello, we are very sad to see your review as the information you are stating is not correct. We had to cancel the tour because of weather and road conditions. We sent you a message through Viator to notify you, we also tried calling your phone number, but the phone was off, so we left a message for you at the hotel as well. We did not hear back from you by the end of the day. The day after we only received your message stating "I note the cancelation", not any question asking for re-scheduling. We did process your refund and if you have not received it, please contact Viator/Tripadvisor as the issue must be on their end. Again, we are sad you posted this on a review without even trying to contact us directly, becuase the problem wasn't on our end. We hope you had a great stay in Iceland.
