Disappointed but it was worth it in the end.

3-day hop on hop off implies that this includes the boat cruise. This is what we expected. The bus pass implies it will take us on a tour of the city. In fact it only circled the area we were staying in. We ended up walking to the tower. The bus would have taken 50 minutes. However we did enjoy our time at the river walk.

Not a good value, just buy the tickets separatly

River boat cruise was great and would do that again in a heartbeat. Hop on Hop off bus was a waste of time. Didn't run every 20 minutes (we waited 40 at one stop) and the route is not as a map shows due to construction (understand that is not their fault). For a couple of stops we wanted to hit we could have walked or gotten an uber. Tower of Americas was a great view of the city but the 4D movie was a cartoon and the seats really shake you around abruptly.

Disappointed in that much of the route/city of San Antonio was under construction and places to stop and see things according to the bus map were not easy to assimilate and be accurate.

The idea of a bus to hop on and off is much better than the reality. The first day went fine and we found the tour guide information useful. On the second day, however there were delays and long wait times for busses (over 35-40 minutes). The extra wait time caused us to walk about a mile after leaving the last destination because busses were no longer running. While on the way to the destination (Tower of the Americas), we were told we couldn't be dropped off near the attraction...we had to walk at least a half mile just to reach the entrance. Why offer an add-on ticket if you can't transport guests there? I spent a lot of money for this disappointment. After all the additional walking on day 2, I questioned my entire purchase. I could have saved $150 if we just navigated the streets ourselves.

A Great Way to Get to Know San Antonio

This is an excellent way to get to know San Antonio...we got 3 days use of a "sightseeing" bus to get around SA. There are about 19 stops...usually at major points of interest and the drivers are also the tour guides. They are very friendly and knowledgeable about each stop. The only downside is you hear the "speel" each time you hop on & hop off. However, it's not that bad...each driver has their own take and style and you do learn alot about San Antonio! One particular driver that we were fortunate to get several times was Mr. John Pina or JP. He was very talkative and shared alot about himself and SA...we very much enjoyed the rides we took with him! Of course, he is a very good driver and a very nice person! We wish him and his family all the best and safe driving!

Need more busses

River cruise and tower was great. Hop on and off bus - needs more busses on route. Too long to wait to be picked up at each stop. Wasted a lot of extra time just waiting on the bus. And in the heat and with all the construction areas feel more buses would be beneficial.

The Tower of Americas was truly an incredible experience. Love seeing Texas from a far. San Antonio is a great place to visit. Everyone is so friendly and the place is so clean.

Hop-on Hop-off does not come as advertised.

Great bargain with the combo if you plan to do the boat ride and tower also. But the Hop-on Hop-off buses do not run like they advertise. Had to wait over 45 one time. They are not every 20 minutes, but closer to every 30-45 minutes.

This threesome gives a great over view of San Antonio. Used the hop on off bus to get around town to the sights we wanted to visit, the bus drivers were informative and good sources of information about the city.

Voucher Redemption warning

More explanation could have been shared during the voucher/receiving tickets. I picked my tickets at the end of the day one hour prior to the buses stopping. The customer service agent failed to tell me the first day started when picking up tickets even though I explained that I will be starting the next day. This was resolved when I returned the next day but could have been resolved when I originally picked up the tickets.

Family Vacation to San Antonio

This Pass was well worth it. The family enjoyed taking in the sights and we got off at the Art Museum and it was Family Day free admission which was a welcoming surprise. At the Tower of the Americas stop there was a fun children's park which we all enjoyed. The walk from the stop to the Tower of the Americas is a short walk. The River Walk Cruise was okay. I had taken it years ago and enjoyed it thoroughly but this one did not cover as much territory as the one I had taken. I was not impressed with the tour at all.

River cruise was great and the driver was funny and knowledgeable. The bus tour depended on the guide, we took two buses before deciding we would rather walk, one bus was great and one was aweful. ONE BUS WAS FILLED WITH THE SMELL OF DIESEL AND THE AIRCON AND SPEAKERS DIDN'T WORK THE BUS DRIVER SAID SHE WASN'T FROM HERE AND DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO GET TO ONE OF THE DESTINATIONS.
