Get Ready To Waste Your Time

Arrived early around 9:30AM for the Boat Tours which starts at 10AM. There were 2 boats there already but we had to wait. The boats left after people started lining up. We stood in line for approximately 20 minutes when the boats came back. We were eventually allowed to get on and our tour started. The tour was informative and our skipper was knowledgeable but spoke in a forced, unnatural speech cadence. For the Hop On/Hop Off bus, there was no double decker bus that I saw. We waited at least 30 minutes for the first time to get on the bus by the visitor center. Supposedly they were missing a driver that day so expect for the buses to cycle every 30 minutes. We got off at the stop for the Tower of the Americas. After our tour at the Tower, we went back to the stop to get on the bus as we wanted to go to the San Antonio Museum of Arts (it was part of the package that we paid for). We waited almost an hour for the next bus to arrive. The tour/package description says that a bus comes “every 20 minutes” but that wasn’t the case. The package I purchased was the 2 day, 5 attractions Hop on/Hop off but I ended up only seeing 2 out of 5 attractions and only used the Hop On Hop Off bus ticket for 1 day. My family and I decided to just use Uber to get to other places instead of waiting for an hour each time for the tour bus. If you’re pressed for time and want to get the most out of your stay in San Antonio then I don’t recommend this tour.

There are few attractions and things-todo while in San Antonio. This package ensured that I had almost everything covered. The sightseeing tour guides had high level of enthusiasm, they provided very informative guide on San Antonio. The Tower of Americas was a place must-go to see San Antonio skyline. The river cruise was great, there was a very long queue. Everyone didn't want to miss this.

On each excursion the drivers were friendly and informative. Did all in one day would suggest to do it in two days and take your time to take a walk along the river walk. The hop on - hop off was great. Takes you to most of the downtown sites that you would want to see.

The trip was disappointing. The combo of attractions wasn’t bad for the area. Instead, San Antonio was hyped up too much. It’s not clean, nor very inviting for families. It’s just another big city. By the River Walk, it feels like a combination of New Orleans and Gatlinburg. Perhaps it’s best for a short stay to party or a convention, not a person vacation.

It was a great package, the hop and off bus was great, if i hadn't taken it, i would have not seen the majority. The Tower of Ameria was good, the Texas Ranger Museum was good, But i was not a fan of the River Walk Cruise, reason being is that the person who did our cruise was too much in a hurry to get back. I thought it was going to be a 45 minute cruise, but he did it in about 30.

We really enjoyed the hop on hop off bus tour. I loved the Buckhorn saloon and the Texas ranger museum was so cool. I loved seeing the Bonnie and Clyde death car. The tower of America view was the absolute best view ever. We watched the sunset over San Antonio. The river walk at night is magical and we plan to ride on the river boat today. It looks like fun and from what I could hear as they past by us very informative.

Definitely the best way to see San Antonio! Loved being able to park the car and let the drivers navigate all of the one way streets and construction areas. The real perk was getting the stories behind so many attractions and great restaurant recommendations. Same was true of the boat ride. Would definitely purchase again!

This was a full day trip. We started our tour of the Alamo about 11am then hopped on the bus tour. Stopped at the ranger museum. Then off to the Mexican market. After a stop there we headed to the tower observation deck. Once done there we headed back to the start point. Hopped off bus and headed down to the river walk to catch the boat tour. It was very informative and relaxing. When the tour was over we hoped off the boat and walked around till about 6:00 then went to dinner.

This is a great way to see portions of San Antonio. Enjoyed the hop on - hop off aspects of it. However, all of our drivers went on and on about one of the stops - Augies BBQ. Why is this a STOP on a tour??? Upon their glowing recommendations, we went back that night for dinner. Ugh. It's just an old dumpy place. You have to go up to a counter (fast food ring a bell?) and order. Just mediocre food. Certainly not deserving of a TOUR STOP. We had to wonder, "Just how much is Augies BBQ PAYING the tour operator to make it a stop on a San Antonio Tour??"
