The rodeo is a lot of fun with a great atmosphere and food. It was super hot but they had fans to help. Our only issues were the seats (very uncomfortable…bring a pad) and the TV screen which showed sponsors. Occasionally it was so bright it blinded you so you could see the action.

This was a great, fun, family evening. Lots of people dressed in typical cowboy/cowgirl outfits, which added to the fun. Show was fantastic - crazy at times! We tried the food from the smokehouse which was also good and the line dancing after the show finished the evening off.

Big Time at the Rodeo

My wife and I are city folks and rarely see wildlife let alone a rodeo. The Tejas Rodeo was a really fun experience and we enjoyed the rodeo events, brisket mac n cheese and live country music. We also purchased cowboy hats and t-shirts at the on-site retail. The TR was easy to find and it is a pretty scenic drive. The staff were very friendly, parking was free and easy and TJ is a clean and well maintained facility. A couple of tips: (i) arrive early since seating is completely full by the time the rodeo starts (there is reserved seating which I didn’t know was an option but may be worth considering if you are not arriving early and (ii) grab your drinks/snacks before or after the rodeo or you will miss a decent chunk of it waiting in line. Calf rope!!!!

This place very obviously oversells their tickets. I purchased tickets for the family two weeks prior to the rodeo. We got there and there were no available seats. We searched for seats for 15 minutes before we decided to just eat $75. Never got to see the rodeo. This places takes your money and says good luck.

Hi Holly - We are so sorry to hear you left the rodeo. Our system shows your admission tickets were not checked in at the entrance so we're not sure when you arrived. We do sell out every weekend and majority of our seats are general admission so if you enter into the arena closer to the start of the rodeo, unfortunately, it can be difficult to find seats together, however, we do have ushers whose job it is to assist with finding seats for guests. We're sorry you felt leaving was your only option. We assure you any Tejas team member would have been more than happy to ensure you had somewhere to sit.

Absolutely the BEST fun. We had dinner and a few drinks in Tejas Steakhouse and Saloon before the rodeo. Great atmosphere, our server, Othelia, was great and the food was plentiful and tasty. The rodeo was a lot of fun to watch especially the 6 year old’s riding the sheep! Well worth the effort to get there.

Such a fun, family atmosphere, loved prayer at the beginning, the rodeo itself was fun, especially with the kids. The after party with dancing was great, thoroughly enjoyed the whole evening! Buying tickets online was easy. Only three of us attended and so we donated the fourth ticket which felt good.
