Akrotiri-Stadt im antiken Thera

Die archäologische Stätte Akrotiri ist sehr interessant. Zeigt das Leben der Menschen, die dort vor dem minoischen Ausbruch lebten. Happy End – die Menschen sahen Warnzeichen und flohen.

Diese Tour hat Potenzial, muss aber verbessert werden. Sie holten uns in einem kleinen Van ab und setzten uns dann in der heißen Sonne (kein Schatten vorhanden) ab, wo wir etwa 30 Minuten auf die Ankunft eines großen Busses warteten. Die Tour war zu lang – sie sollten die Toilettenpause für 1 Euro, die 20 Minuten dauerte, eliminieren und den Spaziergang zum roten Strand/die Eisdiele eliminieren, was mindestens eine weitere Stunde einsparen würde. Am Ende der Tour gab es auch ein Mittagessen und um 15:30 Uhr waren alle durstig und hungrig. Daher sollten sie eine kleinere Gruppengröße haben, eine Flasche Wasser bereitstellen, die Reise verkürzen und nicht so spät zu Mittag essen.

For example, we can't do without a short stop to go to the toilet, because for some people it is a necessity. Visiting the Red Beach is also a must, as it's one of the most famous attractions. Tanya and Nikos were wonderful. I have MS and need a walker to get around. They were so accommodating, helpful and courteous to me and my disability. My sister and I loved Tanya's fun way of telling us about this beautiful area. She was so outgoing, amusing, knowledgeable and fun. Recommend this tour to all who want to have a great time in Santorini.

We were on a cruise to Santorini. Unfortunately due to a mix up caused by another passenger with same name as me we were not able to book any excursions through the ship. That lead us to book this tour through Viator. We have used Viator with great success in the past. While everything seemed ok in the beginning, I started receiving messages from the tour operator. They even called my mobile phone while on board our cruise ship to iron out the meeting details. We arrived at the meeting point 1 minute before the agreed meeting time and asked others that were there if they were on the same tour, but they were not. After waiting 15 minutes I emailed the tour operator and a short while later she replied with "has the driver picked you up?" I replied "no" and waited another 15 minutes. Finally I called her and she said I had not responded to her and no one was coming to pick us. Which worked out fine in the end. We met another couple from our cruise ship at one of local tour operators kiosk and booked a tour with them and had a wonderful time with a private driver for the four of us. In closing I would not recommend this operator. The positive in the situation is that they did refund our money in a timely manor. I hate to leave negative feed back, but don't want anyone else to have the same experience.

OUTSTANDING way to see Santorini!!

Went on this trip the day the cruise ships were coming to Fira! Akortiri is a MUST to see this archeological dig preceding Pompei! ANd Tanya was funny, enthusiastic and a very caring guide! Shared interesting history - kept track of us - picked perfect spot for lunch - made sure we saw the red and black sand beaches - and got us a professional guide for Akortiri! She also walked us through an old city - interesting! initial worrisome problem since Viator told us the wrong company/wrong phone number but apparently Santorini Tours was the actual company and did pick us up! Then it was awesome!

This is an awesome sunset tour, food is great - grilled pork chops or chicken and great salad and dessert. also enjoyed the beer and wine and great company with the other members of the tour. We all enjoyed a swim at red beach and also snorkeling and also a swim at the Hot Sp[rings of the volcano.The sunset was totally inspiring and beautiful

It was an excellent day. The Akrotiri excavation site is a must. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. My only negitive remark is that the tour felt rushed. We were promised time to explore the site on our own, but that was not the case. This tour is great but it could use some extra time.
