Steigen Sie nach der Hafenübernahme am Morgen in einen bequemen Van und beginnen Sie Ihren Sightseeing-Landausflug nach Sitka am Rande der Baranof Island, einer der letzten Haltestellen von Alaskas Inside Passage. Überqueren Sie die O’Connell Bridge und fahren Sie auf die Insel Japonski, um von Ihren informativen Führern über Sitkas Rolle im Zweiten Weltkrieg zu hören.

Verändern Sie die Landschaft mit einem Besuch im Sitka National Historical Park. Bewundern Sie die historischen und kulturellen Schätze der Totempfähle von Tlingit und Haida, die in den Wäldern der Hemlocktanne und der Fichte stehen. The fortress of the bear was excellent at getting up close pictures with the bear while still staying close. The bridge overlooking spawning salmon was also very informative. Deanna was an excellent guide.

The tour with our fabulous guide, Daryl, was the highlight of our trip. My family of seven had such a great time learning about Sitka and seeing all the beautiful sites, especially the bears at Fortress of the Bears. We never felt rushed and had plenty of time to enjoy the sites and take plenty of photos. Our guide was funny and extremely knowledgeable about his lovely hometown. We can’t wait to go back to beautiful Sitka and to say hello to Daryl.

We had an amazing trip. Our tour guide is very accommodating (sorry forgot her name) but it was shuttle #2 if this will help to identify her. We had a few eagle sightings along the road. We got plenty of pictures taken in the fortress of the bears, great shots as some brown bears look like they were playing. I highly recommend this excursion.

Overall, Robin, our guide, did a great job introducing us to Sitka. It's nice to be shown around by a local. Just wished we had time to do the totem park, we didn't get to stop there at all. The rainforest was lovely, and seeing the salmon ready to go upstream was fantastic. Fortress of the Bears is a great sanctuary, and the folks there are offering a great service. Although rainy, the tour was worth it, and Robin handed out big umbrellas, which helped.

Thank you for your review! You said you didn't get to go to totem park but then mentioned the rain forest walk and the salmon stream that is at totem park. I'm not sure how you missed the totems as you had to walk thru them to do the rainforest walk. Never the less we are glad you came to see our amazing little city.

Really small town.a lot of rain there a lot of fog and low lying cloud's hard to see anything..but nice quiet place..it was the last Port we saw on Amsterdam Holland America.right after this Port 1 of the crew went overboard.then our cruise went to hell. Please think about booking with Holland America.for if anything goes wrong you are screwed..we lost the last half of our cruise and all Holland gave us was possible 10 percent off our next cruise..do not book with Holland America..we waited 6 years for our 40 the anniversary cruise.and only got half..of what we paid for..well news flash.. I'm not wealthy I work hard for my money..I had to save for 4 years to surprise my wife..for nothing...I can't take that time back..I wish I could.. you see I'm a retired veteran that just got back a few months ago after 21 years in the service..I just wanted to give her something to let her know how much I love her for being by my side all these years..and for waiting for me to come home...I blew it for trusting Holland America cruise..she forgives me thinks I did great.in the surprise I gave her.. please don't trust . I did.. please understand I love my country and fought for it for 20 years. I am so blessed to come home healthy.not all my brothers had that chance..yet we love our country..so don't thank me i made it.. please thank and keep in your 💓 our sons and daughters that are putting all on the line for us..for they are my heros,.

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable. Enjoyed Sitka National Historical Park and the totem poles. The Fortress of the Bears was very disappointing. Habitat area looked pretty pitiful. The City Sightseeing portion of the tour turned out to be a guide as to where to shop and eat.

Sitka Scenic Tour guide Vivian, was outstanding. Very knowledgeable, she made us feel like family. Her description of the area helped us understand the culture of this city that was new to us. As a native Alaskan, she brought an understanding of the native culture, the various plants to embrace and those to avoid. We felt that we got great value from this tour and it was well worth the money. An added bonus was that the group size was small only seven in a small mini bus. I highly recommend this tour for everyone.

We were met by a lovely couple who had our names on a sign. They were very helpful in directing us to where we were to proceed. We really enjoyed our tour. Our guide Vivian was a wealth of information. She shared her knowledge of her Alaskan heritage. I learned more about the Alaskan culture from her with every detail she shared. She added a personal touch to our tour. The bear fortress was great. We saw a whale on our way up to the bear fortress. We learned about totem poles and how and why they were created.
