Bit disappointing

The boat trip does provide you with the chance to go through the Lysefjord, see Pulpit Rock and learn about the history of the area. There were no caves visited at all so unsure as to why that is in the title and there was a waterfall of sorts at one point but again, stating 'waterfalls' in the title is a bit misleading

Unfortunately the trip was in the rain, but we still got some great photos. The staff was nice, and I would have appreciated more narration along the way. Getting close to the waterfall was fun.

The tour itself was very good. The boat is clean, spacious, with a buffet and a restroom. The views are spectacular. It took around 3:45, not 3 hours. Easy to find -starts in city port. However the Viator experience was not so nice. It charges almost twice the rate of the local provider-not nice. We had trouble getting the actual ticket. Viator sends email with’”Get Ticket” button which sends you to an image as”It is not a ticket”. And we were stuck in this loop forever. Until some miracle happened, we downloaded the pdf which later disappeared again. Very cumbersome process.

Viator charged us more than double the price that the tour company charged. $240.21 for 2, 3 hour ferry rides. The tour company was charging $60.18 at the pier, Price gouging like that is really terrible. I requested a refund of the difference because I thought they had a lowest price guarantee but they denied it.

Great Salling betwin archipelago and in Lysefjord

A realy great trip to Lysefjord. There was a god information about the trip and we was Salling very close to the sides, so you get a greate feeling of the height of the Mountain sites. There was good time to see and photografing.

We thoroughly enjoyed this sightseeing cruise. Although it was raining, we were able to see quite a lot. Staff was friendly. The Lysefjord is just beautiful and probably more beautiful when clear. The pilot drove us up close to waterfalls, goats, and caves giving great picture opportunities.

We were misled

Although we enjoyed this tour, it probably would have been much better if it had "a maximum of 50 travelers" as advertised. We ended up on a boat with at least 250 people. The boat itself had a posted capacity of 297. The crowds resulted in restricted photography opportunities and inability to hear comments by the guide. In addition, some of our time was wasted when the boat made a stop to disembark approximately 50 passengers who were going to do a hike to pulpit rock.

The cruise and scenery were fine. It was, however, disappointing to see that the price posted by the local company that runs the cruise (Rodne Fjord Cruise) was approximately half of that charged by Viator. Is the booking company really entitled to a 100% markup?

Very worthwhile 3 hours

Buyers should realize this cruise involves recorded narration (in several languages) and offers very little outside seating--probably dandy for the frequent rains and cold, but we were a bit disappointed as we enjoyed fantastic weather. The view of Pulpit's Rock is pretty minimal from the water. However, we all (even the 82 year old in our party) found space on deck where we could hold on safely and comfortably, the seats inside are quite comfy, and the views of rocks, cliffs, houses, hillsides, and waterfalls were a delight. Basic snacks and drinks available, as well as a restroom.

This was a ride on a large ferry style boat. The boat was nice and comfortable, the viewing was good. The rock formations were somewhat difficult to see from the water. This was an enjoyable excursion.

Just an OK tour

Was expecting a lot more from this tour for the money spent. Was nice to see the fjords and Pulpit Rock, but a lot of down time on boat otherwise. Our tour time was changed on us without our knowledge as we arrived by cruise boat into Stavenger. Screwed up another tour we had scheduled because of this.

Le calme ressenti tout au long de la promenade en bateau était vraiment apaisant. Le paysage était magnifique, la chute, le rocher Pulpit, tout, quoi! Nous avons même vu l'équipage donner à manger à des chèvres de montagne qui, clairement, voyant le bateau s'approcher du bord, attendaient impatiemment leur repas. Comme c'était charmant! Je recommande cette expérience à quiconque est un amant de la nature.

Was een prachtige excursie. Wondermooie natuur. Je kan zowel binnen als buiten zitten, Buiten is natuurlijk het leukst. Kleed je wel slim want het ene moment kan het een bui doe en 20 minuten later zonovergoten zijn. Zeker de moeite waard.
