It was very chaotic to board the bus, everyone was pushing and shoving. I thought there'd be more time to sightsee at the different stops. View was beautiful but if you got off the bus, you lost your seat.

We really thought that that this would be a great way to see Tangiers, very disappointing. First of all, the individual that scanned our Tickets from our phone, tried to keep our phone. We went in the bus and forgot our phone and remembered that we left it with the employee. We asked if he had our phone and he said no! but a trust worthy employee said there was one under the desk-The guy that had our phone gave the other employee a mean look because it was given back to us. -The first leg of our blue tour was ok, the audio did not always match with what we were to be looking at. A number of senior citizens that came on, weren’t given any earbuds. During a stop, I asked the driver to give me some earbuds for those that needed them. -The second route of the tour, Red route was another flop. We went a quarter mile and our route was to be detoured due to an event and our guides had no idea about it. We were stopped about 30 minutes while our guides tried to argue about the route closer (they should have known this!). We ended up going the same route we previously went on. Also, the bus was overloaded and we had to stand with our two young kids and a hand full of other occupants. We ended up leaving the tour and didn’t get back on. We found a cab driver that gave us a 3 hour tour of all the highlights that the tour was to take us and more. We were able to take photos and he was very professional-Hop on Hop Off was a complete waste of money-hit mess

Buses did not run on time. After an hour and a half of waiting one finally showed and did not stop. 10 minutes later another came and didn’t stop. I waited another hour and gave up.

Waste of time and money

I have done hop on hop off all over the world. This is the worst one. They do not pick up every 30 minutes as they advertised. I waited at bus stop 9 which they say you can hop on at any stop for one and a half hours no bus. I contacted the company via support on Viator and they did not even answer. They false advise, our hotel staff and others that we talked to said this is normal the bus is not running frequently. We ended up do a city tour with a large taxi here in Tangier. Don’t waste you money. Waiting on a refund as I reached out to Viator, that the bus does not run as advertised.

Worth doing

Cape spartel, Hercules cave worth visiting to also see the coastline. City tour great except audio not very clear with explanations. Staff on bus didn't give me map. After couple of stops realised I should have nap so went downstairs and got one.

This is not a typical hop on hop off tour. The buses are limited. The Blue tour was wonderful with a narration. The Red tour did not have narration and just overall lacking in what could have been a good tour.

Not the usual Hop On Hope Off…

This tour is not quite professionally organized as others in many parts of the world. They are the only tour operator so I guess they do just the basics. If you do not understand how it works, you’re basically screwed! You have to go to the Port for your first registration. The operator will then tell you which bus for the blue line you can get on then he books you for the next red line one. The blue line is short but it meanders thru the old city and it’s a recorded guidance - which means it can be timed out if there’s traffic or an issue on the road. Do not waste your hours on the red line as it goes for 2 hrs, to get to the grotto and lovely views. There are 3 only, 10min stops which is announced by the guide in 4 languages. I cant understand why they are always full but they are! If you have more than 3 days in Tangier, you may want to explore this option but if you’ve only got limited time, I suggest to meander down the Kasbah while stopping along the way at the many cafes. We found THE TERRACES OF THE MEDINA RESTAURANT by exploring and sat down to lunch with beautiful views and wonderful service.

Great way to get around Tangier City and see what the city has to offer. I would recommend doing the full route and then getting on and off at stops that interest you. There are only about two buses running, so timing will be key in getting off and on.

The crew and drivers are friendly and accommodating. Hop on hop off is the best way to see the highlights of Tangier if you have limited visiting time. You can hop on right in front of the TGV train station which we took from Rabat. Cap Espartel and Cave of Hercules are the highlights of the red line. The port and marina of blue line was beautiful.

We took a couple of hop on hop off routes and saw Moulay Hafid Palace, the Marshan district, the Historic street of Hercules (said to have separated Africa from Europe with his feet) and the Port mosque. We saw Perdicaris Forest and Cap Spartel too.

Seeing the camels on the beach was amazing. Beautiful sights surrounding the city was worth the trip however we were unable to do the city tour. For some reason they told us itcwas over for the day even though it was only 16:00. That was disappointing.
