Ein unvergesslicher Schnorcheltag, aber nicht aus den richtigen Gründen

Der Titel dieser Tour erregte meine Aufmerksamkeit, aber ich habe meine Hausaufgaben nicht gemacht, bevor ich sie gebucht habe. Die Seekuhsaison in Belize ist in den Sommermonaten. Wir verbrachten eine Stunde unserer Dezember-Tour im Boot, während die beiden Führer nach Seekühen ""suchten"". Wir verbrachten auch eine unangenehme Zeit auf dem Boot und warteten darauf, dass die beiden Führer den Motor des Bootes ""MacGyver"" machten. Ich war jedes Mal zutiefst besorgt, wenn wir anhielten, um tatsächlich zu schnorcheln, dass der Motor nicht wieder anspringen würde, wenn wir bereit wären, von dieser Stelle aus weiterzumachen. Die Beschreibung der Tour verspricht, dass sie GoPro-Fotos für Sie aufnehmen, was sie auch getan haben. Leider haben wir sie nie gesehen. An unserem Tourtag gingen zwei Boote zusammen aus - wir haben vorher einige Leute getroffen, die auf dem anderen Boot ausgegangen sind. Als wir die E-Mail mit den Fotos des Tages erhielten, erkannte ich die Leute, die wir zuvor getroffen hatten, und nur Fotos von der GoPro ihres Bootes waren dort. Als ich Daniel per E-Mail fragte, wo die Fotos unseres Bootes seien, sagte er, sie hätten die Dateien von beiden GoPros kombiniert und er habe uns alles geschickt. Ich hatte gegen Ende des Tages GoPro ausgecheckt, und wir hatten allein auf unserem Boot über 100 Bilder / Videos aufgenommen, und die E-Mail, die sie verschickten, hatte nur etwa 80. Die Lektion lernte, wie schwierig es ist, eine eigene Ausrüstung für die Unterwasserfahrt zu haben Fotos! Eine letzte Sache zu beachten ist, dass diese Tour von Caye Caulker startet. Wir kamen leicht von Ambergris Caye dorthin, aber es wurde Zeit auf dem Wasser hinzugefügt, was zu einem bereits langen Tag beitrug. Abgesehen von allem anderen gab es im Wasser einige großartige Begegnungen mit Meereslebewesen - viele Ammenhaie, Rochen, bunte Fische, Korallen und mehrere Schildkröten. Der Muschelfriedhof war ziemlich einzigartig und das türkisfarbene Wasser war sehr schön. Unabhängig von der Firma haben Sie eine gute Chance, all das zu sehen, da alle Schnorchelboote in die gleichen Gebiete fahren. Meine Empfehlung ist, dass Sie diese Firma nicht auswählen, um Sie dorthin zu bringen.

Perfect snorkeling even for folks who aren’t strong swimmers

Dude!! Let me start by saying that, Rene and Raheem were the best guides ever :) I’m not comfy in deep water, but I’ve always wanted to snorkel and explore the open ocean. I felt so safe with them. Rene gave me a life vest, but also stayed with me in the rougher parts of the water. I traveled solo and didn’t feel awkward at all as they both were incredibly engaging. They know where to do to see the coolest wildlife, such as manatees! This was the perfect trip and hope to do it again when I’m back in Belize 🇧🇿

The tour with Renee and Joe was awesome. We were able to swim with so many types of fish, sting rays, nurse sharks, a manatee, as well as see beautiful corral and conch. I’m also grateful that i was able to book at the last minute. Both Renee and joe were very patient and helpful- especially since I am a novice. It was such a memorable experience and for a fair price!

We had an amazing time on this tour! Our guide/captain was Renee and his co-captain has Lani (I am sure I am misspelling or mispronouncing that, so I apologize about that part lol). The guides were so kind, funny, and well-versed in the information. I also really appreciated the flexibility of this company- we were scheduled to go a previous day, but due to the high winds they let us switch over to the next day with no problem. On this tour, they take you to THE top spots where you can see manatees, stingrays, nurse sharks, turtles, and of course many fish. They provided a yummy belizean lunch, water, and rum punch 🤙🏽 our guides made sure everyone was comfortable and having fun the whole time. I would highly recommend this tour! 🐠😍

You see everything on this tour! This marine life tour was so awesome. On this tour we had so many opportunities to snorkel in different parts of Hol Chan. Our guides were super resourceful and made sure we saw as much as possible which included; tortoises, sharks, a manatee and infinite fish. The guides made sure everyone was safe during the boat rides. Lunch was included and was delicious. It was a full day excursion. We arrived back to Caye Caulker around 3:30pm after a 8:30AM departure.

Rene & Gersen were fabulous host and captain/co-captain. A good balance of knowledge/history of the area and fun! They offered to take better pictures for us getting closer to the wildlife and they were helpful and accommodating throughout the tour. I would definitely booked another tour with Salt Life if we return to the area.

This was such an amazing experience! It truly is a must when you are visiting! Our tour guide, Diva and Rene were knowledgeable and super friendly. The only thing to be aware of is, you don’t get a GoPro with your experience like advertised, the GoPro is with the tour guide and they are the only ones using it. So I would recommend bringing your own or getting a waterproof case if you want your own pictures and memories.

A unique and action packed snorkel experience!!!

This full-day Salt Life Tour was as incredible as we hoped it would be! From the moment we arrived, the staff joked around with us while we got measured for flippers and masks. We then got on the boat where Renny and Ativa shared their knowledge, humour and passion for protecting the reef. We managed to see so much sea life at each stop, but our favourite moment was definitely shark alley. We were also fortunate enough to see turtles, manatees, and beautiful schools of fish. I have snorkeleed all over the world and this was one of the best - the water was clear, our guides explained everything, and even sent us the go-pro pics they took. The full-day tour was a unique and action-packed snorkel experience and I would highly recommend it. Just make sure you enjoy the rum punch and bring money to tip the guides : )

This was my very first time snorkeling and I couldn't have felt more taken care of it. Also, for those of you who wear glasses, they apparently have prescription snorkel masks so be sure to ask for that if you need it. Otherwise, the guides were so patient in helping me get the hang of it. Since I am also basically blind and found out about the prescription masks later, Samal (one of the guides) would literately take me by the hand and actually guide me to the things to show me. SO THANKFUL for that. Also, getting the pictures later really added onto the experience in my case since I was unable to see as clearly while we were doing it. So again, GREAT experience and I think I found myself a new hobby.

We had an amazing time on this tour. Great lunch, good laughs. Took this back in January '23. Water was clear and amazing, ample time at each location. By the end though we didn't get to swim with them we spotted the manatees, and then dolphins appeared. Truly a lucky day for us.
