Gaby war unsere Führerin und sie führte eine Gruppe von 7 Personen zu 5 verschiedenen Haltestellen; Jedes war köstlich und bot einen Einblick in die Geschichte von Gastown und der Umgebung. Es gab einen Überraschungsstopp und ein Überraschungsdessert. Ich ging, traf freundliche Menschen, war danach stundenlang so satt, konnte alleine herumlaufen und zu einigen Orten zurückkehren. Das lohnt sich sehr. Es hat Spaß gemacht, eine tolle Möglichkeit, eine neue Stadt kennenzulernen, und die Auswahl an Speisen war hervorragend.

Das Essen war gut. Unser Führer hat viel zu lernen, war aber freundlich und sachkundig. Raum für Verbesserungen wäre es, wenn Sie lernen, Ihre Stimme so einzusetzen, dass die Leute Sie hören und Ihr Publikum kennen. Seien Sie in der Lage, umzuschwenken, wenn sich die Dinge ändern oder etwas nicht stimmt oder nicht. Beispiel: Wir waren alle zu früh dran und es hat ihn umgeworfen. Lesen Sie vor der Abholung die Notizen und erklären Sie, wie das Essen geliefert wird. Mein Mann ist allergisch gegen Schweinefleisch, und wir wussten, dass es einen Ort mit Schweinefleisch gibt, und das war in Ordnung. Wir fragten, ob wir etwas anderes wollten, und mein Mann stimmte einem Hühnchensandwich anstelle des Schweinefleischs zu. Leider esse ich kein Geflügel. Es ging uns also nicht besser, weil nicht erklärt wurde, dass die Artikel aufgeteilt wurden. Nachdem wir verstanden hatten, konnten wir uns entsprechend anpassen. Es war großartig, etwas über das Viertel zu lernen und unglaubliches Essen zu genießen. Er machte ein Foto von uns allen und sagte, er würde es uns per E-Mail schicken. Ich habe es noch nicht gesehen: (. Er war ein netter junger Mann und ich denke, er wird es am Ende schaffen. Wieder war das Essen großartig und die Leute auf der Tour waren es auch.

Also, das war teuer für 5 Personen. Unser Reiseleiter ist zwar herzlich, aber außerhalb von Vancouver aufgewachsen, lebt aber seit einigen Jahren in der Gegend. Zu den Highlights gehören ein Sushi-Restaurant einer Kette und eine Eisdiele, die nur drei kleine Tassen für unsere 5-köpfige Gruppe enthüllte. Es ist eine Beleidigung, dass wir an unseren Haltestellen nicht alle etwas zu essen bekommen haben. Getränke mussten wir separat bezahlen - - ich meine, Eistee? Während der Tour bat mich der Guide, meine Informationen zu geben, um sicherzustellen, dass ich ihm eine positive Bewertung gebe.

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit mit TJ als unserem Reiseleiter! Obwohl wir auf dem unteren Festland leben, hat es Spaß gemacht, uns eine Gegend näher anzusehen, die wir eine Weile nicht besucht hatten. Wir waren besorgt, dass die Wanderung für unsere 82-jährige Mutter schwierig sein könnte, aber TJ ließ uns wissen, dass die Tour insgesamt 1 km lang war und dazwischen viel gesessen und gegessen wurde. Es war ein perfektes Weihnachtsgeschenk für die Person, die alles hat und es liebt, gutes Essen und interessante Orte zu erleben! Sehr zu empfehlen!

The porchetta sandwiches were to die for, and the other tastings were very good as well, although the maple candy was less than memorable and could be replaced with something more interesting. This was our third Secret Food tour and was different in that portions were bigger rather than bites, so we got full too fast! Gabby was an awesome guide-very knowledgeable and a pleasure to tour with. Note some of the Viator description on locations is inaccurate and should be updated.
