Professionelle Führung ins Barock

Tolle Führerin, die sehr anschaulich, freundlich und kenntnisreich erzählt hat. Zudem war sie sehr besorgt um die heterogene Gruppe und hat sich für jeden interessiert. Das Schloss und Gelände waren zudem außerordentlich imposant mit tollem Einblick in die barocke Lebenswelt.
Zu viele Leute beim Einlass und im Schloss

Wir mussten sehr lange anstehen mit der Gruppe bis wir eingelassen wurden. Da waren viel zu viele Gruppen im Schloss, so dass man fast an seinem Guide kleben musste um die Gruppe nicht zu verlieren. Gesehen hat man dadurch nicht wirklich viel. Im grossflächigen Garten haben sich die Leute dann etwas verteilt.

Unsere Führerin Catherine war sehr sachkundig und nett. Sie sorgte dafür, dass unsere gesamte Gruppe die ganze Zeit zusammen war, sorgte für Zeit für Ruheräume, beantwortete Fragen mit gründlichem Wissen und bot an, Fotos für die Gruppenmitglieder zu machen. Sie hat sogar die beste Haltestelle für meine Familie herausgefunden, um den Bahnhof zu verlassen, damit wir unserem Ziel am nächsten waren. Ich kann diese Tour wärmstens empfehlen.

Nadia was an amazing tour guide. Her knowledge of the history of the Palace and gardens were incredible. Even though it was crowded, she found the perfect spots to stop in each room to explain the history. Definitely a great tour to go on if you are in Paris.

These stars are for Wei because the actual experience was terrible. There was no way to enjoy the splendor of this place. It was hot, incredibly overcrowded (i mean MANY MANY THOUSANDS of people) and just an awful day. Wei was great and certainly knowledgeable but he was up against a lot of obstacles to make the experience enjoyable. We left the tour early and never even made it to the gardens. If we could have afforded a private before or after hours tour we would have. That would be the ONLY way to go!

Viator staff coordinated last minute wheelchair access with Versailles. We were well taken care of by our guide. She was very professional and knowledgeable. Viator is the only way to go to Versailles!

This was an amazing tour- perhaps one of the best I’ve ever done. Carolina brought the palace to life and was the perfect mix of entertaining, informative, and engaged. It is clear she had a command of the history of the place. My only feedback for the tour more broadly is I would love a more detailed overview of what we should see in the garden. Otherwise, perfect!!

The best part of the tour - skipping the line to the palace. The disappointing parts - there is no reason to meet in Paris since we rode the train there. Half of the train tickets the guide distributed didn’t work. The guide offered no narrative in the train. In the palace, it was informative. The guide offered no guidance to the gardens, no mention of Marie Antoinette house - it felt like he couldn’t wait to get out of there.

Our tour guide Veronica was great. After navigating the metro to get to the meeting spot which is just prior to boarding an above ground train, Veronica was the perfect balance of providing structure and allowing space to explore. Great experience!

Versailles is very beautiful. The tour was good however we did not have enough time to tour the grounds or Marie Antoinette’s private house because it closed at 6pm and the tour guide did not finish until 5:10pm with the castle. Our tour started at 2pm. Her house is a ways from the castle and it was taking a very long time to get a golf cart so we decided to walk which took almost a half hour. I would suggest that the tour be done only in the mornings so you have the rest of the day to walk the grounds and see everything otherwise it’s not worth doing this tour in my opinion. Just go on your own.
Bus tour to Versailles with no bus…

I purchased this tour one month in advance and paid it in full. The main reason I booked this tour was because they were going to drive us to the door with a very nice bus. This way we wouldn’t have to do extra walking. All you do is walk in Versailles for hours, if you can avoid extra walking by booking a bus, it is worth it. Anyway, they cancelled my reservation a few days before the trip and offered to change the date. I agreed to this. But then the day of the tour, surprise, there was no bus and we had to ride with the train and go up and down stairs, then walked to the palace, etc. After the visit my feet and legs were hurting, but I still had to walk back to the train station and again upstairs, downstairs, etc, not cool. Agent who made the reservation was nice and changed the date fast, but never mentioned that the bus was not available anymore. I didn’t like this unpleasant surprise. If agent would have told me, then I would have cancelled this reservation and make a new one with a bus. Some of us have health problems or are elderly and need a bus. It’s important these changes are discussed with customers. I feel deceived by this tour company. Don’t plan on traveling with them anymore. I paid for a tour with a bus, didn’t get one. They didn’t offered a refund or to lower the price since bus was not available anymore either. They decided for me that I didn’t need a bus. Rude. Tour guide was the only highlight of this tour. She was very nice, well mannered, professional and I really enjoyed all her stories. If it wasn’t for her, the tour would have been a complete failure.
